LEGO today unveils a new addition to the Star Wars range: the set 75428 Battle Droid with STAP with its 1088 pieces, its public price set at €129,99 and its availability announced for July 1, 2025.
Even if one can wonder if the subject deserved such an outpouring of effort, everything seems rather well executed to me and fans should largely find what they are looking for. As is often the case, the small presentation plate will give a collector's side to the product and the presence of a figurine perched on its revisited STAP but as in the polybag 30058 STAP (24 pieces) released in 2012 is a nice nod. For once, LEGO is not depriving us of a transparent support that allows us to display the machine as it should be.
Long-time collectors will surely remember the LEGO Technic set 8001 Battle Droid Released in 2000, this new version is far more convincing than the offering from 25 years ago and, nostalgia aside, should replace it on their shelves without hesitation.
