7965 review
It is Future74, Eurobricks forumer, who offers his review in pictures of the new set 7965 Millennium Falcon.

As usual at Eurobricks, do not expect an objective review, the reviews are few and once again we are raving about the know-how of LEGO, the obvious interest of having brought out the Falcon, the gameplay and the solidity of the whole .....

There are still nice photos of the assembly, and many close-up views of the set, its minifigs and its features. To read this review, go to the dedicated topic at Eurobricks.

Dengar New
We are always waiting for more photos and information on what is undoubtedly the most anticipated set of this year 2011: 10221 UCS Super Star Destroyer (Executor).

While waiting, we are satisfied with what we find and here is a close-up on the new minifigure bearing the image of the bounty hunter Dengar from this set.

Also known by the nickname "Payback", Dengar is a correlated mercenary and an assassin in the pay of the Empire recruited by Darth Vader along with five other "Bounty Hunters" to go in search of Han Solo after the Battle of Hoth.

It is this scene of the meeting between Vader and the bounty hunters that the set 10221 proposes a priori to reconstitute, if the presence of an interior layout of the Executor is confirmed.
.
As for the new minifigure, nothing very exciting. A standard screen printing on the chest, a white beanie, already seen in other sets and a relatively detailed face on the other hand are on the menu.

It's always better than the minifigure in the set 6209 Slav I released in 2006, where Dengar looked more like it came out of a Prince of Persia set .....

If you want to know a little more about this character and discover his eventful life as a bounty hunter, go to this page.

Grievous Bike
Nothing too exciting these days in the LEGO Star Wars universe.
501st commando
presents a nice and at the very least original MOC: the Grievous's Wheel Bike, a must see in the dedicated topic in Eurobricks.
FBTB just woke up and hit the front page of a 2010 report that aired on National Geographic on the Mega Factories show I was telling you about in this news.
At Eurobricks, we learn from a forumer who knows a guy who knows a guy that the set 7879 Hoth Echo Base will be marketed in July at a price of 99.99 €.
TheBrickBlogger, an interesting source for its original and elaborate content, explains how to create reverse studs in this article in English but illustrated.

Snooping on Amazon.de, I came across a book simply titled "Sample catalog of the Lego Star Wars Figures from 1999-2011". Sold for 14.99 € and announced as in stock, I tell myself that I do not take too much risk to order this book. But when validating, I am in doubt and I go to see elsewhere what the AFOLs think. bought this catalog which, as its name suggests, would bring together all the Star Wars minifigs from 1999 to 2011. The author also proudly announces on his site "333 minifigs - 118 pages".

The result is final, this work has no interest. As shown in the example page in the image above, this is in fact a "DIY" made by an AFOL a priori without any permission from LEGO, despite the many copyrights displayed on its site and eBay and using visuals gleaned here and there on the internet.
In addition, many errors seem to have slipped into the description of the minifig, and the quotation of the prices charged is rather fanciful.
The set is composed of sheets joined by a spiral which allows to add the update sheets that you can acquire for the modest sum of 1.49 € on the author's website.

In short, I very much doubt that LEGO authorized this book and you can go your way, this book is not the exhaustive and well-documented catalog on the Star Wars minifigs that we all expect.

poster 2011 limited
Received today the LEGO Star Wars 2011 Limited Edition poster ordered on eBay from a UK seller, as we will apparently have a hard time getting it in France.

This "Limited Edition Collector's Poster 2011"50.000 copies printed and numbered brings together 90 minifigs divided into two camps, the" good guys "and the" bad guys "and includes the most recent minifigs delivered with the last sets released in 2011.

The dimensions are correct at 84 x 59.5 cm, but again the poster is supplied folded and not rolled by LEGO, which seems a bit silly to me for so-called "Collector" or "Limited" editions.

In short, if you like this kind of product, all you have to do is fight on eBay to offer yourself something to decorate your bedroom, living room or garage ...
