If you like the thrill of auctions and LEGO products, you should know that the famous Drouot auction house is currently offering a sale entirely dedicated to the brand with some beautiful pieces in the catalog such as Modulars still sold under the Creator Expert label, a few sets from the Bricklink Designer Program, and several sets from the LEGO Star Wars range. Please note that we are talking about auctions in the most traditional format here, not the version we all know, such as those on eBay, Catawiki, and the like.
The starting prices displayed on the current sale are the reserve prices, no nasty surprises on arrival as is often the case on sales which start at the symbolic price of one euro with reserve prices which are not known and which are sometimes mind-boggling.
If you're interested in the adventure, you'll first need to register on the platform, and then you can place your bids on the various lots available. Upon exit, you'll have to pay a fee of 12,5% of the sale amount, and everything is included in these fees (VAT, commissions, etc.).
The DAGOTY house which manages the sale will also take care of the logistics to allow you to receive your lot in the best conditions, we are talking here about participants who are experienced in the exercise of auctioning collectible products and who know that the condition of the packaging is essential when it comes to LEGO sets.
You have until Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 19:00 p.m. to place your bids online and try to win the set that may be missing from your collection. The product photos that illustrate each lot are real photos of the set in question, which allows us to identify any possible packaging defects; you will receive what you see.
You can also estimate the delivery costs. Please note that you may be able to collect the lot you won the auction on site if you are in the Brussels region.
Be careful, the auction process can quickly become addictive and put you in a situation where your desire to win a lot takes you a little too far financially. Other auctions of this type are planned for the future.
