Today we are taking a very quick look at the contents of the LEGO Editions 43024 Ayrton Senna Helmet set , a box of 931 pieces available from September 1st at a public price of €89,99 on the official online store and for a little less elsewhere.
This is already the fifth helmet in this range of licensed products launched in May 2026 and as with the other sets, LEGO provides a minifigure of the pilot in question.

This is the first time I've held one of these helmets in my hands and I was curious to see what "experience" this product would offer me and how I would approach the aesthetic result.
Assembling the product is a real chore, and even though the techniques used are clearly geared towards the final result, it feels more like a frustrating challenge than a fun, relaxing activity. One can marvel at the sheer number of complex and sometimes surprising sub-assemblies, but in my opinion, the final product doesn't really live up to the complexity of the assembly process.
The model shown here is inspired by the helmet worn by Ayrton Senna in 1988, the year of his first Formula 1 World Championship victory. Its shape is therefore somewhat different from the more recent helmets offered elsewhere in this range. While the helmet looks reasonably accurate from the front and three-quarter views, the back is a different story, with two unsightly bulges and several rather imprecise adjustments.
This helmet is obviously designed to be displayed from the front or at most from the side, but I really get the impression that the back has been left neglected or that the designer never found the right solution for this section of the construction.
Otherwise, I find the overall finish very poor, even for a LEGO product, with sections that need to be properly repositioned after the slightest movement and stickers that don't do justice to a product costing €90. On the plus side, the stickers are provided in duplicate, so you can replace them when they start to peel off the helmet visor.
LEGO deliberately omits the main sponsor of the McLaren-Honda team: the tobacco company Marlboro (Philip Morris). Whatever the legal or moral argument used to justify the absence of the logo, the car's authenticity suffers with this large white space that ultimately represents very little.
As for the pad-printed elements, there are numerous misalignments of the prints, and we know this range of headphones often suffers from this problem. The effect is most visible on the back of the headphones, with both horizontal and vertical misalignments on the colored bands that run around the perimeter.
The subject matter is complex, and in my opinion, LEGO's handling of it is only moderately successful, though the model will still look convincing from a distance. Up close, it's too messy for me, with too many empty spaces and a very rough finish.
The included figure somewhat redeems the set with its attractive printing and double-sided head, but it alone doesn't justify spending €90 on this box. The effect of the open jumpsuit falls a bit flat, as the design doesn't extend beyond the figure's hips at the front and the lower torso at the back. It's a shame the Nacional sponsor logo isn't on the cap; the logo is only vaguely represented by the white band.
I know that Formula 1 fans will be perfectly happy with this model, which they'll display alongside their other helmets; it's a decorative piece, and Ayrton Senna is an iconic champion of the sport. For me, however, this product has definitively convinced me that it's not for me. I like LEGO products too much to find it appealing, and I don't like Formula 1 enough to consider it essential.

Today we're taking a very quick look at the contents of the LEGO ONE PIECE 75641 Dr. Hiriluk's Hideout set , a box of 271 pieces available since August 1, 2026 from LEGO at a public price of €29,99 and for a little less elsewhere.
I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, this little box doesn't have much to offer in terms of actual playability despite what LEGO says in the official product description: " ...Open the mountain to reveal a vast interior containing a cozy cave full of bottles and books, where Doctor Hiluluk dreams, conducts experiments and guides his friend Chopper... "
All of this is, as is often the case, a bit pompous, and the set is not a set, the cave is only half a cave, and only the accessories provided raise the level of this frankly minimalist playset a little.
White for the snow, a few pieces of furniture, a fireplace, a few very symbolic trees, two movable side sections to spread out the construction a little, there is nothing here to shout about creative genius and we quickly understand that all this is just a pretext to allow us to obtain the figurines of Tony Tony Chopper, Dr. Hiriluk and Dr. Kureha.
The three figures are exclusive to this box: Hiriluk and Kureha are only provided in this set, as is the variant of Tony Tony Chopper with his face different from that of set 75645 Battle at Drum Castle (€99,99).
The Dr. Hiriluk figure is a bit basic, despite its attractive hat incorporating his hair. The printing on the legs struggles to accurately represent the trousers worn by the character on screen. You have to visually examine the figure to spot the purple trousers beneath the character's coat; it's not immediately obvious, and there's no flesh-colored area to separate the boots from the lower part of the outfit.
Regarding Dr. Kureha, LEGO makes an effort to provide a relatively faithful version, even though the outfit in question is ultimately only briefly featured on screen during the seventh episode of the second season, which aired on Netflix. At least this figure has double-molded arms.
Even though it's very minimalist and requires you to deal with a large number of stickers, this collectible at least has the merit of referencing scenes that young fans will certainly remember because they are full of emotion. Nothing groundbreaking as it stands; we'll patiently wait to find this set at a more attractive price elsewhere than at LEGO, which is already the case.

Today we are taking a very quick look at the contents of the LEGO FORTNITE 77081 KIT set , a box of 1230 pieces sold since June 1, 2026 at a public price of €99,99 on the official online store and for a little less elsewhere.
For those who don't closely follow Fortnite news, KITT is actually a skin in the game, available since Season 3, and requires reaching level 60 to unlock. The display item included in this box is therefore a model that should delight fans of the game and will easily find its place alongside the model from set 77072 Peely Bone, which is the same scale. Both products share the same base and the same identification plate on the front of the stand, which in this case holds a minifigure.
As with the banana from the other set, this figure is fixed to the base for obvious stability reasons, so you can't remove it from its black stand to pose it in improbable positions. However, you can adjust the arms to vary the poses and have fun setting the detachable vehicle's wheel in motion using the knob on the back of the figure.
The model benefits from nice modularity, with a vehicle that can be detached from the mech and a cat that can also be removed from its cockpit. This is enough to potentially vary the displays, although the mech's legs alone behind the centrally wheeled vehicle will look a bit odd. There's no complex connection between the two modules; simply lift the motorcycle and the two axles, which are simply slid into the tubes visible on the bottom of the model.
The cat, presented here in a fixed pilot pose with outstretched arms, is rather basic; it only vaguely resembles the skin seen in the video game, but it has a good head. However, it's missing a weapon in its left hand; fans know that the Power Claws in the game come in pairs.
In my opinion, this box lives up to its claims, provided the subject matter appeals to you and you're familiar with the skin in question. This product is also a fine exercise in style from the designer, with a very decent finish and a satisfying level of detail.
However, there is a large sheet of stickers in the box with about twenty stickers to place on the model, some of which are on curved surfaces which do not really hold the stickers in question, which is a shame for a pure display product which will not withstand the onslaught of dust for long.
On the other hand, we get here a rather successful skin figurine which takes the look of the mech with the cat sitting on top in its cockpit instead of the usual head of the figurines.
Let's not pretend this is a set aimed at all LEGO fans; this set is a pure niche product that will only appeal to a very small segment of brick enthusiasts. However, what we can say is that fans of the Fortnite video game and LEGO are well catered for by the manufacturer with this attractive display piece at a relatively reasonable price.
If it's still too expensive for you, this set is obviously available elsewhere than at LEGO at a much more reasonable price, making it a nice gift to give to a young gamer who wants to decorate their setup a little.

Today we're taking a quick look at the contents of the LEGO 40901 Ministry Munchies & The Daily Prophet Stands promotional set , a small box of 152 pieces that will be offered on the official online store with any purchase of €130 or more of Harry Potter products from August 29 to September 6, 2026.
Let's be honest, taken on its own, this promotional product doesn't have much to offer. What it represents is taken out of context, and the two included figurines aren't worth getting up in the middle of the night for.
This product only makes full sense when combined with the contents of set 76476 The Ministry of Magic - Collectors' Edition (€429,99) and even if it will take a little force to install the different elements of the small box within the Atrium of the large diorama, the complementarity between the two products is obvious.
LEGO may have decided that this extension of the large set should not be reserved for purchasers of the latter; why not, an order of at least €130 in products from the Harry Potter range will be enough to obtain the small box and then wait until the large one is offered elsewhere than at LEGO at a more attractive price.
This small box contains everything you need to assemble the Fountain of Brotherhood with its statue, which logically matches the one already present in the Ministry of Magic, the newspaper vendor's stand that makes a very brief appearance on screen when Harry Potter arrives at the location, and the pastry stand set up near the fountain provided in this box and seen in the film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
The two included figures recycle elements already seen elsewhere in LEGO: the newspaper vendor's torso is also that of Martin Brody in the LEGO IDEAS 21350 JAWS set and that of Minister Cornelius Fudge is also that of Bruce Wayne, Barty Crouch or even Norman Osborn.
For those who might be wondering, the pad-printed Tile of The Daily Prophet newspaper delivered here in three copies is far from new, it has existed since 2022, the year in which it was supplied in set 76408 12 Grimmauld Place and it was also delivered in 2023 in set 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors' Edition.
Two stickers to stick in this box, one of the sign for the pastry stand and one of the banner installed in front of the newspaper stand.
This extension of the large set should easily find its place in the Atrium of fans who will make the effort to pay the large box at its public price from its launch; it is a nice promotional product that does not serve much purpose on its own but will allow to fill a little of the empty space in the Ministry.
LEGO Star Wars fans had the same type of "complementary" product in their time with the 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Rack set , which filled a gap in the hangar of the 75419 Death Star set (€999,99). They can now welcome Harry Potter fans who will also have their own extension, which we can perhaps do without, but which we will undoubtedly regret one day having missed.

Today we're taking a very quick look at the contents of the LEGO ONE PIECE 75642 Showdown with Captain Smoker set , a 547-piece box available since August 1, 2026 at a public price of €59,99 on the official online store and for a little less elsewhere.
LEGO invites us to recreate the confrontation between Luffy and Captain Smoker in the alleys of Logue Town. As is often the case, everything is highly symbolic, and we have to make do with two relatively ordinary facades and a stall that vaguely represents the area's "lively market." The backs of the two structures aren't bothered by a high-end finish; this playset is meant for fun, and the available spaces must remain easily accessible.
We're used to it; nobody really holds it against LEGO anymore for suggesting rather than reproducing. However, the statue seen in several scenes during the confrontation between the two characters is still missing; we'll have to do without it.
The product offers a bit of playability with Smoker's motorcycle, which largely cannibalizes the product's inventory and leaves few options for giving buildings the Mediterranean city look seen on screen, as well as a mechanism built into the blue-fronted building that allows three sections of wall to be ejected.
Perhaps younger children will find it appealing, although I always wonder who these children are who will be satisfied with this type of toy for more than five minutes after finishing the assembly.
As for the included minifigures, they're quite decent for a set in the middle of the pack, featuring Monkey D. Luffy, Sanji, Monkey D. Dragon, and Captain Smoker. The latter, despite his self-explanatory name, unfortunately comes without his cigars, which is a bit ridiculous: LEGO is offering a children's product based on content streamed on a streaming platform, and these children will have seen the character smoking anyway.
If younger viewers were to be influenced by either of these two things, the live-action series is more likely to entice them than a simple toy. A simple printed design on the corner of the minifigure's lips would have been enough to make it more accurate and wouldn't have instantly turned young fans of this universe into tobacco addicts.
Smoker can either be equipped with legs or enter smoke mode after consuming the Moku Moku no Mi, and LEGO interprets this state in a somewhat messy way by mixing white and translucent elements. Visually, I find the result disappointing and far from faithful to what we see on screen.
Despite the presence of the sword shop, Zoro is conspicuously absent from the set, and there was undoubtedly room to include him without changing the retail price.
Upon arrival, this spin-off from the Netflix live-action series is decent considering its position within the 2026 release wave. Even though the included diorama is basic and Logue Town frankly deserved better, the cast of minifigures saves the day. It's a shame about the large sticker sheet; the graphics are well done, but it's a lot of stickers for such a small box.
In terms of price, we're not quite at the best possible deals yet, but this set, like many others, will quickly end up in clearance sales everywhere. If your minifigure collection can wait, you'll soon save enough to make this set much more attractive than its retail price.
