Expanded Universe AirSpeeder by HJR

Here is an unusual MOC offered by HJR: An AirSpeeder from the'Extended Universe Star Wars and based on a toy dating from 1997 marketed at the time by the Kenner brand.

For the anecdote, Kenner had created this version whose kinship with the classic Incom T-47 SnowSpeeder that we know well is evident on the basis of production sketches made by Ralph McQuarrie, American illustrator who worked a lot on the saga Star Wars.

Other sources indicate that Kenner has decided to market this version identified as a Modified Incom T-47 Airspeeder Prototype to offer within its range a machine that is less expensive to produce and therefore more affordable for its customers than conventional SnowSpeeders.

You will discover many pictures of this machine on this page on Rebelscum.

HJR produces an MOC faithful to the model: the reproduction is of quality and the result convincing. Every detail is reproduced and the wings rotate like on the original toy.

7958 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar - Mechno Chair

At the opening of the 3rd box of the Star Wars Advent Calendar, many are puzzled by the machine that comes out today ...

It is therefore a Mechno Chair seen in theEpisode I The Phantom Menace. This mechanized mobile projector displays the hologram of Darth Sidious that addresses the Viceroy Nute Gunray on Naboo.

Nothing too exciting, I just tinkered with a Darth Sidious with what I immediately had on hand (You will guess who owns the torso ...).

Attention, for the youngest, it is normal if you did not have the minifigure of the photo in this box, it is not there.

For reference, here is a capture of the relevant scene in theEpisode I..

7958 Star Wars Advent Calendar - Nute Gunray

Well, I can't resist the pleasure of posting you a snapshot of Nute Gunray's minifig from the second box of the Star Wars Advent Calendar, despite my promise yesterday ...

But as we never do like everyone else at Hoth Bricks (a little self-satisfaction does not hurt ...), I put on the left the minifig from the set of magnets 852844 released in 2010 and in which Nute Gunray was accompanied by Onaconda Farr and Chancellor Palpatine.

Even if it is not visible in the photo, there is no doubt that the minifigure of the calendar is of much better quality in terms of plastic: We can clearly see the light through the legs of that of the pack of magnets and this transparency is not as obvious on the minifigure of the calendar.

As for the screen printing, it is difficult to be affirmative, the screen printing being darker on the minifig of the magnet pack, but the various photos available on flickr of the Nute Gunray of the calendar confirm significant variations in the density of the screen printing depending on the copies.

LEGO Superheroes DC Universe @ Toys R Us USA

After the set 6864 Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase, it's the turn of the sets 6863 Batwing Battle over Gotham City, 4526 Ultrabuild Batman4527 Ultrabuild The Joker et 4528 Ultrabuild Green Lantern to be referenced on Toys R Us (USA). The advertised prices are $ 17.99 for sets 4526, 4527 and 4528 and $ 39.99 for set 6863. All these sets are advertised as not available for shipping, but paradoxically as available in store ...

By clicking on the names of the sets you can access their page at Amazon France. The file is not accessible directly from the Amazon site and no price or time limit is indicated for the moment. The entire LEGO Superheroes DC Universe range had been briefly displayed online by Amazon with an indication of upcoming availability and prices in euros and then withdrawn quickly, probably at the request of LEGO.
I was then able to add these articles to my amazon store and the files therefore remain accessible directly from this space.

Superman Action Comics N ° 1 June 1938 - MOC by levork

Exactly $ 2.161.000 ... This is the astronomical amount for which auctioned a copy in perfect condition of N ° 1 of Action comics dating from June 1938 and sold at the time for 10 cents.

Another copy of this comic had already been sold last year for around $ 1.000.000. For the record, the copy sold this Wednesday in New York was perfectly preserved because it was stuck between the pages of a magazine for many years.

These amounts are well beyond us and we will therefore be satisfied with the Levork MOC reproducing the cover of this overpriced comic created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster considered by some to be the most important in the history of comics because he was the first to develop the theme of the superhero and he was inspired by following all the production of superhero comics that we all know.
