instructionsLEGO is finally applying the promised temporary solution in order to best protect the instruction booklets and sticker sheets in large sets of more than 700/800 pieces.
As seen in this picture taken by a Eurobricks forumer unboxing his 10195 set (Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker), the booklets and the sheet of stickers are protected by a bag and stiffened by a cardboard insert.
LEGO had already announced its intention to respond to numerous complaints from its customers on this subject (See this article from January 10, 2011).

A late but commendable initiative on the part of the manufacturer, while waiting for a final solution via a blister pack or a specially provided pouch.
In the meantime, if you have a problem with the instruction booklet or sticker sheet when opening one of your recently purchased sets, please do not hesitate to contact LEGO customer service at this address to obtain a replacement.
