The 10225 UCS R2-D2 set is obviously much more than just a collector's LEGO set, which, incidentally, isn't universally loved by AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO). It was to be expected that this product would be a bestseller from the moment it launched: it also appeals to geeks of all stripes who dream of having this droid on their desk or in their living room.
In short, it's May 4, 2012, LEGO has stuffed us with teasing and announcement effects both on the set itself and on the promo of the day and the product is already out of stock. It still borders on ridicule from a manufacturer who is not able to ensure sufficient production to at least spend the most important day of the year for Star Wars fans ...
