Those who receive the LEGO Club print magazine are already aware, as an article in it revealed the news: The Legends of Chima range will be launched as a preview on December 26th in many stores across France. ( See the LEGO Club online article )
This will be an opportunity to get, and I quote, an " exclusive goodie " that will be offered with every purchase. In other words, a small gift. Don't expect anything huge or limited to 50 copies...

All the Toys R Us stores are participating in the operation. King Jouet, Picwic, La Grande Récré and a few others are also in the game.
I wonder why LEGO chose to launch its line the day after the kids receive the gifts that cost their parents an arm and a leg. Either it's a brilliant marketing stunt that I don't understand the scope of, or it's just a silly choice on the part of the passing intern.
As far as I'm concerned, on December 26th I'll probably be enjoying my day with my kids and I'm not planning on going to a Toys R Us fight to buy Chima at full price.
