If you have decided to collect all the micro racing cars in the new LEGO collection 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars, know that the manufacturer takes away your headache and offers you a solution for displaying your cars in the form of a display stand of 149 pieces to assemble.
LEGO just provides assembly instructions in PDF format and the inventory of this proposal, it's up to you to find the necessary elements. We know that LEGO has planned a page dedicated to this display on the Pick a Brick section of its official online store but it is not yet possible to directly and effortlessly order all the parts necessary for the assembly of the thing:
DISPLAY PODIUM FOR F1 COLLECTIBLE RACE CARS >>
If you want to pre-order the 12 mini collectible cars, please note that the Minifigure Maddness brand is currently offering a pre-order on a set of two boxes of 36 packages.
The set of two boxes (72 micro-vehicles in total) is offered at €226.98 including shipping using the code Formula1 or, €3.15 for the car delivered to your home via UPS Express. The retail price for these micro cars is €3,99 each at LEGO. Please note, this is a pre-order, with shipping expected around the second week of May 2025.
If you prefer to invest in complete sets rather than individual micro-vehicles, know that the Minifigure Maddness brand is offering a pre-order today on a set of two boxes of 36 packages from the LEGO collection 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars.
If you find something to reach the €290 order in the store's shelves, you can get a set of 3 minifigs exclusive to LEGO Stores (Clown with Skirt, Llama Suit Guy and Brick Suit Girl) using the code FREE2025.
Today we'll take a quick look at the contents of the LEGO CITY set. 60474 F1 Grid with VCARB & Sauber Race Cars, a 313-piece box available via the official online store since March 1, 2025 at a retail price of €29,99. As you already know, LEGO has signed a partnership with Formula 1 and the manufacturer is therefore offering single-seaters in all sorts of ways. In addition to the Technic, ICONS, Speed Champions, and micro-collectible models, there are a few boxes on the flagship 2025 theme in the CITY range.
LEGO's proposition is logically adapted to the young audience targeted by this range and the two single-seaters delivered in this box are therefore ultra-simplified versions which prioritize playability over finish.
Both vehicles are perfectly identical in design, only the colors differ, and they are easy to handle without breaking anything. The patterned parts are pad-printed; no stickers are included in this box.
The simplification is pushed to the extreme here and we have to make do with vehicles without a steering wheel and a roll bar that doesn't serve much purpose since the drivers' helmets clearly protrude. There are still a few visible studs at the front with a slightly unsightly staircase effect, but nothing serious.
LEGO has attached a starting gate to the two single-seaters, and it's a pretty neat design, considering it's part of the CITY range. The gate features a sliding mechanism borrowed from the Speed Champions range that turns the lights on and off; it's simple but effective.
The race marshal has his own booth, a checkered flag, and even a cup for the winner. Everything is ready for a little fun as the two cars are thrown around.
As for the three minifigs delivered in this box, nothing crazy, simplification is also at work here with very symbolic outfits which are not covered in sponsors for the two drivers and a torso already seen a lot for the race commissioner.
In the end, I find the exercise of adapting the Formula 1 universe to the CITY sauce rather successful with an obvious simplification of the subject covered but playability guaranteed by the different proposals of the range. LEGO has found a good compromise here which offers the youngest real play possibilities.
This isn't always the case in this range, which sometimes settles for products that are a bit lazy in terms of both substance and form. If I had had access to these products when I was younger, I would have been won over and would obviously have wanted to get the complete collection of single-seaters available.
Other boxes from the CITY range allow you to complete the starting grid, and in addition to the 8 other single-seaters available, the ecosystem created by LEGO is quite complete with a transport truck, a stand for two teams and a Pit Stop:

Please note that this box is not currently available anywhere other than LEGO, it is a exclusivity of the E.Leclerc brand which currently offers it at €25,83. At this price, we get a nice product that should entertain children. Mission accomplished.

Your participation is taken into account regardless of your opinion. Avoid "I'm participating" or "I'm trying my luck", we suspect that this is the case.

If you only buy your LEGO products from the official online store because you like to collect as many Insider points as possible, for example, you should know that the manufacturer is currently offering, until March 23, 2025, two bundled offers that allow you to benefit from a modest 10% reduction on the retail price of the two sets together.
On one side, a McLaren bundle with LEGO Technic sets 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car and LEGO Speed Champions 76919 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car, on the other a Mercedes AMG Petronas bundle with LEGO Technic sets 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance and LEGO Technic 42165 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance Pull-Back.
To take advantage of these offers, you must access the page for one of these products on the Shop and then click on the "Group offer" label displayed at the top right just below the public price of the product in question.
March 2025 is Formula 1 Month at LEGO, with a large handful of single-seater sets on sale and a few activities to motivate customers. The brand La Grande Recre has notably planned an operation which will allow customers of each store to leave with a micro Formula 1 to build on site.
The proposed construction will be even more compact than that delivered in the boxes of the LEGO Collectibles collection. 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars (29 pieces - €3.99), the micro vehicles will not include any helmets or minifigs.
This is not a reason to come and trample on the children who want to get their single-seater, do not push, do not shove. The operation will take place on March 19 and 22, 2025 from 14:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m. in The stores of the sign.
