LEGO ICONS 10351 Sherlock Holmes Book Nook: the set is online in the Shop

This year, LEGO is making a foray into the Book Nook sector, the very popular format that features miniature dioramas to be placed among the books stored on the shelves of a library. The first reference in this new universe in LEGO version will be the LEGO ICONS set 10351 Sherlock Holmes Book Nook, a box of 1359 pieces currently available for pre-order on the Shop and scheduled for June 1, 2025 at a retail price of €119,99.

LEGO has almost completely nailed the subject matter, with one exception. While the diorama folds neatly into itself so it can be placed between two books on a bookshelf, the manufacturer has nevertheless overlooked one of the format's key features: the essential lighting that highlights the internal layouts and creates a unique atmosphere within the product.

LEGO simply dispenses with the roof of the building, perhaps hoping that the light will reach the product's details. I doubt it, and even if it did, the addition of carefully positioned lighting creates an ambiance that natural light doesn't.

We will soon discuss this product in more detail, which perhaps does not really deserve its name Book Nook.
