LEGO officially unveils the set today 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale, a new addition to the LEGO Ideas range based on the winning creation of the competition organized by the manufacturer and W on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the license Dungeons & Dragons. All that remains of the initial proposal is the outline and the idea, but it is the game of the LEGO Ideas platform which, as its name suggests, only serves to collect “ideas” for future products.

In this box which will be available from April 1, 2024 for members of the LEGO insiders program at the public price of €359.99, 3745 pieces to assemble the official version of the idea and obtain a diorama measuring 48 cm high by 37 cm long and 30 cm wide and bring together a handful of pretty minifigs along the way. On the program, a tavern with a removable roof, a tower, a dragon (Cinderhowl), a Beholder, an Owlbear and a Displacer Beast as well as an Orc, a Thief, a Gnome , a Warrior, an Elf Wizard, and a Dwarf Cleric.

On the occasion of the launch of the set, a special adventure book will be offered, either free in digital version, or in paper edition in exchange for 2700 points, or the equivalent of approximately €18 in exchange value, via the program LEGO Insiders. Those who purchase the set between April 1 and 7, 2024 will also be offered a small promotional LEGO Dungeons & Dragons Mimic Dice Box set seen in one of the recent teasers.

This product will be supplemented later in the year by a series of 12 collectible minifigs (LEGO reference 71047), planned for September 2024.

This is confirmed by the page dedicated to this product on the official online store which displays a countdown for the occasion.

We also know that the chest seen in the short teaser below will be an additional product undoubtedly available in the form of a promotional set offered for the acquisition of the set bearing the reference 21348 Red Dragons Tale according to current speculation. The latest rumors suggest the presence of six minifigs in the box, two more than the four silhouettes visible in the visual above. To be verified during the official product announcement.

In November 2023, LEGO partnered again with the US Target brand to offer a vote between four projects from a competition on the STEM theme (for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) organized on the LEGO Ideas platform. A promise was made to the winner, as is always the case within the framework of this partnership, that their creation would one day become an official set.

The initiative left a little power to the fans and you had to vote for your favorite creation before November 12, 2023 if you wanted to have any hope of seeing it end up on your shelves one day. This is the creation entitled Knowledge is Power by Danielbradleyy who finally won at the end of the vote. We do not yet know when the official version of this proposal will be available or at what price, we will have to wait for more details from LEGO.
