08/09/2025 - 13:07 LEGO IDEAS Lego news New LEGO 2026

Remember, last June LEGO launched the voting sequence for the Timeless Creations challenge organized on the LEGO IDEAS platform and the winner has just been appointed : this is the vintage sewing machine proposed by Brickstability.

This creation will soon become an official set in the LEGO IDEAS range, and will further clutter the shelves of lifestyle object lovers alongside the typewriter, cameras, piano, vintage radio, plastic flowers and pebbles, etc.

LEGO will now rework and adapt this creation to make it a future official product in the LEGO IDEAS range that meets the brand's criteria. Don't expect anything before 2026 at the earliest.

04/09/2025 - 09:00 LEGO IDEAS New LEGO 2025 Reviews

Today we'll take a quick look at the contents of the LEGO IDEAS set. 21362 Mineral Collection, a box of 880 pieces currently available for pre-order on the official online store at a retail price of €59,99 and which will be available from October 1, 2025.

After the flowers and the paintings, here are the colored pebbles: LEGO does not hesitate to offer us diverse and varied constructions which imitate real objects with more or less realism, it has been a real tidal wave for two years. Here, we are promised to be able to proudly display "samples of golden pyrite, purple amethyst, blue fluorite, watermelon tourmaline, salmon pink rhodochrosite and tangerine quartz" LEGO style. Everything will be installed on three small, simple but attractive shelves that are independent and can therefore be combined as you wish. We will also note the "modularity" of the thing with the possibility of moving the rock samples as you wish.

What can we say, except that LEGO seems to have no intention of stopping its collection of constructions? lifestyle which appeals to an adult clientele that doesn't seem to be getting tired of it yet. Here, the construction challenge remains very limited and ultimately it's only the result that counts if you like colorful plastic pebbles. As with flowers, even though I love LEGO, I can't see myself displaying all these rather crude things at home that more or less imitate what they were inspired by.

A mineral hunter who is a LEGO fan and wants to decorate his shelf filled with real stones might find something to his liking here with a nod to his two passions, but the target niche seems so small to me that I can see this box ending up being sold off very quickly everywhere once those who really wanted it have bought it.

In my opinion, LEGO is largely missing the educational potential of the thing by depriving us of small labels specifying what it is. The manufacturer is never stingy with presentation plates for products that don't really need them, but here it skips a description of each of the minerals to be built which could, for example, have helped beginners to identify the six stones offered, allow younger children to learn about the subject and fuel conversations between friends.

This is also the LEGO IDEAS syndrome, many fans get excited about various and varied proposals with a single click, but does this click ultimately indicate a real enthusiasm for the ideas in question? In this specific case, I can understand that the initial proposal succeeded in attracting a wide audience with its originality and finish, but was it necessary to make it an official product sold for €60? I'm not so sure, and I'm even convinced that some of the early supporters in 2024 will change their minds when it comes to paying in 2025. In my opinion, not all ideas, even the best ones, deserve to go into production, especially if the manufacturer offers a version that is sometimes watered down or overly simplified compared to the initial proposal.

I imagine the interiors of these fans who accumulate until they are full of flowers, sneakers, LEGO ART paintings, fake game consoles, the typewriter next to the fake phone and the fake camera, etc... I think that we are currently reaching a point of no return in terms of plastic decoration in all sauces. All we need now is the CUISINE sign made of bricks and a LEGO ART painting of the Brooklyn Bridge for LEGO to definitively make IKEA and its "exclusive" decorations that we find in almost everyone's home look old-fashioned. After all, there is something for everyone and there is no accounting for taste.

For the rest, the product includes three separate instruction booklets so that the assembly can be shared between friends, and as is often the case, you won't escape the transparent pieces used for the shelves, which are scratched upon unpacking. No stickers in this box; we console ourselves with what we can.

Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at September 23, 2025 at 23:59 p.m. Simply post a comment below the article to participate.

Update : The winner was drawn and notified by email, his nickname is indicated below.
