Avengers Helicarrier @ LEGO Ideas

Let's dream a little: The Helicarrier of Yo-Sub Joo alias ysomt has just reached 10.000 supporters on LEGO Ideas and will therefore be entitled to a review by the LEGO team.

We can safely assume that the project, the size of which has been revised downwards by the MOCeur at the request of LEGO to make it more "feasible", will be discreetly overlooked.

The initial model consisted of more than 22.000 bricks and displayed extraordinary measurements (200 x 115 cm), the reduced version has more than 6700 and measures 120 x 70 cm. Even reinvented by its creator to meet the requirements of LEGO, this project remains far too ambitious to be marketed as is at a reasonable price.

In short, this project is therefore the first to be selected for the third review scheduled for 2014. The results of the first review of the year It should not be long before they are announced.

In any case, this is what the message I have just received from the LEGO sales department suggests, which explains to me that it was total panic in recent days, that I must not worried, LEGO will "make"and I will end up receiving one day my boxes of the set 21109 Exo-Suit ordered last August 1st on the LEGO Shop.

IF I understood the content of this message correctly, the break is therefore only temporary, contrary to what can be said everywhere, no need to go on eBay and pay for this set three times its price.

If your order is also pending processing, you should receive the same message.

Hello,

Thank you for ordering the LEGO® Robot Exo set.

We are sorry that you have not received any mail from us regarding your order. Due to a slight technical problem in our computer system, a large number of emails were not sent. Our technicians are working on the problem right now and should have it fixed very soon. You can nevertheless check the status of your order by going to:

http://shop.lego.com/account/orderStatus.jsp

The Exo Robot surprised us with its extreme popularity and the controls turned out to be much larger than expected. The stock is currently exhausted and we are working hard to make more.

The next delivery to our depot is scheduled for September 11th. If you intended to gift this set, we would be happy to send a message to your LEGO builder to explain the delay.

If you wish to cancel your order, let us know and we will do it at no cost. The bank details you provided when ordering are only used for prior authorization. Your account is not debited until the parcel is sent.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any questions.

Sincerely,

Your LEGO Service Team

LEGO Ideas 21109 Exo Suit

The marketing operation around the LEGO Ideas 21109 Exo Suit set is in full swing: After the first teasing images, the intelligently orchestrated intervention of the LEGO designer (Mark Stafford) on Reddit which shows a candid connivance with the fans, reveals the underside of the adaptation of the product and announces in half words a guaranteed break from the first hours of its marketing ... Here then, in the wake, the reviews of this box which arrives on various sites like Brickset (which put on line the two photos which I take again here) or Toys N Bricks.

Difficult to do more to promote this box, the creator of the initial Cuusoo / Ideas project and the ability of LEGO to meet the expectations of the "big family" of AFOLs in need of Space Classic.

To tell you the truth, I will do like most of you, I will be on August 1st in front of my PC waiting to be able to buy this box before it is out of stock, even if I would have gone well without having the right to a "tribute" to the creator of the initial project and to his girlfriend written in large letters on the back of the box ...

In the end, and despite the cool side of the final product, when I take stock of everything that surrounds the launch of this box, I still have the impression that the whole thing comes down more to an operation during which a bunch of friends are pleased that at the launch of a product by the world's second largest toy manufacturer ... This is perhaps the will of LEGO: It will cost me around forty euros to I too be part of the "big family" ...

LEGO Ideas 21109 Exo Suit

The suspense around the 21109 Exo-Suit set ends with the video below posted on the LEGO Ideas blog.

321 pieces, 2 minifigs Space Classic green (a man and a woman) and a mini robot-turtle will accompany the exo-skeleton reviewed and corrected by LEGO. Up for sale on the LEGO Shop next August 1st. Update : Below is a photo, also uploaded by Brickset, to compare the two versions of the Exo-Suit, with on the left the model of the Cuusoo project by Peter Reid and on the right the official version which will be marketed by LEGO.

LEGO Ideas 21109 Exo Suit

Some will no doubt find that LEGO and Peter Reid are doing a little too much in terms of progressive teasing around the set LEGO Ideas 21109 Exo-Suit which should finally be unveiled tomorrow morning if we are to believe the designer of the initial project ...

The above visual adds to the long list of published images that gradually announce or unveil the LEGO version of the Exo-Suit initially offered on Cuusoo by Peter Reid.

We can see in the image the original version (left) and the LEGO version of which we finally see only a foot end integrating parts Dark Grey and even a little Trans Yellow and a clamp already seen on the visual accessible here...

I remind you for all intents and purposes that this box will be marketed on the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores from next August 1st. The US rate is $ 34.00.
