LEGO Masters: Games discontinued for the French version of the program

The poor ratings of the last season of the show will have been the end of the program: there will be no sixth season of the LEGO Masters show in France and it is Éric Antoine himself who confirms it in an interview given to Puremédias.

To justify the non-renewal of the program, the host mentioned in a jumble the high production cost of the show, the element of surprise which has faded over the seasons, the potential weariness of the public that the program would no longer make "dream" and obviously the audiences in decline this year with an average of barely more than a million viewers per episode.

The program has therefore lived in France while it still enjoys a certain success in the USA and is a hit in Australia. It is difficult to find one or more culprits for this slow descent of the French version to the bottom of the ratings grids: the casting, the broadcast period, the editing of the episodes, the not always obvious balance between reality TV and pure competition, everyone will have an opinion on the reasons for this decline in interest on the part of viewers for this program launched in France in 2020.

We can also say that all good things must come to an end and that it's better to stop the costs rather than end up as a low-end reboot on an obscure TNT channel with a concept that's been cut short due to a lack of resources and ambition. Five seasons is already very good for a program that tried, sometimes a little clumsily but with great resources, to put bricks in the spotlight in prime time.
