It's January 1, 2023 and LEGO is marketing a very large handful of new sets from today on its official online store with an assortment that covers many in-house or licensed ranges.
As usual, it's up to you to see whether to crack without waiting by paying the full price for these boxes or whether to show a little patience and wait for the inevitable reductions that will be offered in the boxes. weeks and months to come at Amazon, on FNAC.com and at a few other resellers.

The new additions to the LEGO Monkie Kid range scheduled for January 1, 2023 are now live on the official store. It's generally convincing, too bad that the animated series which serves both to create a bit of context for the various derivative products and marketing support for these boxes is not broadcast with us, so that the youngest know what they are with. have fun. I remind you for all intents and purposes that this range of products is only distributed outside of Asia because LEGO has undertaken to no longer geographically limit the distribution of its "general public" products.
I will settle for the big mech, it deserves my full attention knowing that it is more successful than the Hulkbuster at 549.99 €.

The LEGO Monkie Kid universe continues its career at LEGO from June 1, 2022 with at least three new references that navigate between tradition and modernity. It's always so well executed, with remarkable attention to detail. The exhibition potential of the palace in the clouds is promising, the playability of the truck with its containers seems maximum.
These two sets will be on sale exclusively on the official online store, the manufacturer does not distribute this range to its resellers in France and only markets these products intended primarily for the Asian market because it has undertaken to no longer offer " geographical exclusivities".

Another promotional product currently offered at LEGO: the polybag 30562 Monkie Kid's Underwater Journey, a bag of 57 pieces which is currently automatically added to the basket from 40 € of purchase in products in the Monkie Kid and/or Ninjago ranges.
The bag is rather provided with a real staging and many accessories. LEGO also demonstrates here its ability to offer more successful promotional polybags than others when efforts are required. We already knew that the Monkie Kid universe was the object of all attention with often very successful sets and this promotional bag is no exception to the rule with a minifig, two skeletons and many elements that really help to give overall thickness.
The Monkie Kid minifig is obviously not new, it is partly the one already delivered since the beginning of January in the sets 80031 Mei's Dragon Car (39.99 €) and 80033 Evil Macaque's Mech (59.99 €) for the torso, legs and hair with the character's head supplied in several sets in 2020 and 2021.
We also obtain here three specimens of the coral Dark Turquoise which was the heyday of the Friends range in 2019/2020 and which was also present in certain LEGO CITY sets in the universe Ocean Exploration in 2020. Four golden bars, a chest and two crabs complete the underwater scene. Everything is installed on a small support that allows you to present the Monkie Kid's stick on its base.
This polybag probably does not revolutionize the idea of the small LEGO promotional product offered on condition of purchase, but it has solid arguments to put forward to possibly justify a purchase in the Monkie Kid or Ninjago ranges. The content of the bag is coherent, it tells something and it may simply be missing a small transparent display for the Monkie Kid to be presented in suspension with its thruster. The one visible in the photo above is not in the bag, I added it for the example. You have until January 27, 2022 to decide if this compelling polybag is worth spending €40 on the official online store.
Note: The set presented here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at 24th January 2022 next at 23pm.
Update : The winner was drawn and notified by email, his nickname is indicated below.
