LEGO today splits joint press release with Ford to announce set 75881 Ford GT 2016 & Ford 1966 GT40 from the Speed Champions range.
In short, this set will offer the two vehicles which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans respectively in 1966 and 2016. In the box, two drivers, a podium and the trophy.
This set will be available from March 1, 2017 at the public price of € 34.99.
The press release can be found in PDF format at this address.
Below is a video presentation of the set and some photos to discover the two vehicles from every angle.
This set will be joined in 2017 by six other boxes:

Nice marketing stunt from LEGO which is teaming up with the British show Top Gear for the launch of the LEGO Speed Champions range with this well-made trailer for the next season of the show.
We find the presenters of the show (Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May), the Stig and a little nod to the vehicles that will be available in the Speed Champions sets planned for next March.
Because LEGO products are minifigs and bricks but also (pretty) boxes, here are the sets of the new LEGO Speed Champions range that will be marketed in early 2015.
The packaging is eye-catching, and I have no doubt about the future success of this range, whose theme will attract many fans, whether they are manufacturers, players or collectors.
Interesting detail, the partnership signed between LEGO and the manufacturers Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche allows the manufacturer to add on each box the logo of the brand concerned by the model present in the set.
For visuals of the contents of the boxes, go to at this address or in the german merchant who uploaded these new images.
Teasing for LEGO Speed Champions products is in place at the official mini-site with three visuals which present a (very) close-up of some of the vehicles in the range.
The only problem is that we can especially distinguish the myriad of stickers that adorn the vehicles in question ...
And as far as I'm concerned, it's quite disheartening. I imagine that the lifespan of these stickers will be extremely short: The range is above all focused on playability and in the hands of the youngest the stickers never last long when they are stuck on vehicles ...
Collectors who hope to exhibit these cars in a showcase will also be at their expense: Dust and light are the sworn enemies of LEGO stickers.
If you have not yet seen the 7 sets expected for spring 2015, go at this address.
LEGO's press release announcing its partnership with Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren can be found at this address.
At this point, it is no longer leaks, but rather a veritable deluge of official visuals which falls on Eurobricks and by ricochet on the community of fans of LEGO ...
In short, here are the images of the sets of the new range Speed Champions, which smells like the sticker, expected in early 2015 with the sets listed below:

The rumor had evoked a few months ago a possible range under license Top Gear (famous British TV show on the automobile also declined in the USA), it would seem that it is replaced by this series of vehicles under a more generic label. Undoubtedly a question of rights and big money ...
