LEGO Super Mario The Adventures of Mario Starter Pack, Building Toy with Interactive Bowser Figure - Gift Idea for Children Aged 6 and Up
After the LEGO Super Mario base set 71360 Adventures with Mario, we discover today via the site Nintendo Everything two of the expansions that will need to be acquired to expand the initial game board: references 71369 Bowser's Castle Boss Battle (1010 pieces - 99.99 €) with Bowser, a Boo and a Skelerex and 71366 Piranha Plant Power Slide (132 pieces - 29.99 €) with a Koopa and two piranha plants.
We will remember that the set 71369 Bowser's Castle Boss Battle also allows you to get the interactive Mario figure, so you'll get two copies if you also invest in the 71360 Starter Course set.
We also learn that a (free) application will be available to record the scores achieved, obtain assembly instructions in digital format and share their experience with other users via a dedicated forum.
Today we discover the first official visual of the LEGO Super Mario set 71360 Adventures with Mario via an image uploaded by Amazon Spain on the product sheet.
We already knew that this box of 231 pieces will be sold for 59.99 € and that it will allow you to obtain the essential interactive Mario figurine equipped with several screens, a speaker and an enigmatic Bluetooth function around which 'will articulate the concept of this new range. We also knew that the concept presentation video posted a few weeks ago mixed the content of several boxes to obtain the level presented.

We now know that the starting set will allow us to obtain a Bowser Junior and a Goomba to build along with some elements to assemble a basic level.
Many extensions are planned to expand the base level and it will be necessary to consider a rather large budget to collect all the sets planned (see at this address).
Bonus: LEGO has already posted a future "extension" of 163 pieces bearing the reference 40414 Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set, a small box that will probably be offered at the launch of the range:
Kids can have fun knocking down Cabroche and throwing Topi Taupe creating new challenges with this Topi Taupe and Super Mushroom LEGO® Super Mario ™ expansion set.

Today we can discover a little more about the LEGO Super Mario "range" with a short video featuring a large interactive minifigure, additional characters and a buildable level of the game. At first glance, the experience seems rather fun, even if we visibly move away from the "traditional" LEGO concept with its minifigs.
We also know that there will be several sets but that the Mario figurine will be the only one to be equipped with the device offering all its interactivity to this range with screens in the eyes, mouth and chest and a speaker. The construction shown in the video below is an assembly of elements from several sets in the range. It will also be possible to build your own levels while respecting the constraint of 60 seconds to complete the game. No interaction with the Nintendo Switch and presence of a Bluetooth connection which we do not yet know what it will be used for.
Until better, the mini-site dedicated to this new range can be found at this address.

...The LEGO Group announces its new partnership with Nintendo, which will allow Super Mario to interact with the real world, while retaining the construction play experience offered by the LEGO® brand. The two companies have one thing in common: their passion for innovation and play. Their collaboration has led to rethinking the classic building experience offered by LEGO, introducing a whole new way of playing, inspired by the iconic character of video games, Super Mario. Neither video game nor traditional LEGO construction set, LEGO® Super Mario ™ is a new line that includes an interactive LEGO Mario minifigure. Using this minifigure, the player will have to collect coins in different game levels built with LEGO bricks. This new range will offer children an experience of the world of Super Mario like they have never experienced before! Super Mario will come to life in the physical LEGO world. The game experience, transgenerational and iconic takes on a new dimension combining challenges and interactivity. The LEGO® Super Mario ™ line will launch later this year, and more information will be available soon ... |

The teaser of the day: the short video below which confirms that LEGO and Nintendo are united around the universe of Super Mario.
Difficult to draw real conclusions based on the teaser of a few seconds posted on social networks, we will have to wait for a more consistent announcement to find out more and get a clear idea of what LEGO and Nintendo have prepared for us.
Note that the timing of the announcement is not trivial, today we are March 10, "Mario Day", the annual celebration of the franchise (Mar10 = Mario).
Update : There is only one product that is really confirmed at the moment, and not a half dozen, this is the benchmark 71360 with its 231 pieces and its public price of 59.99 € which is present at Amazon UK.
