Today we get more information about the LEGO Super Mario set 40787 Mario Kart: Spiny Shell : this small box of 234 pieces which will allow you to assemble a 10 cm side spiny shell will not be a product offered under condition of purchase.

This will actually be a LEGO Insiders reward and you will need to redeem 2500 points, or around €17 in exchange, to get the single-use code to use on a future order.

It's via the official LEGO website page dedicated to instructions that we discover today the first official visual of a promotional product which should be available very soon: the LEGO Super Mario set 40787 Mario Kart: Spiny Shell.

Inside the box, there are 234 pieces to assemble this spiny shell, often seen in the Mario Kart universe. LEGO today unveils a new addition to the Super Mario range: the set 72037 Mario & Standard Kart whose inventory of 1972 pieces will allow you to assemble a nice model of Mario on his favorite kart. The figurine installed at the controls of the machine is articulated and the whole thing measures 32 cm long by 19 cm wide and 22 cm high.

I find the whole thing extremely successful, the big Mario figurine displaying a very convincing face and the kart being perfectly executed.

This derivative product is available for pre-order today via the official online store at a retail price of €169,99, and will be available from May 15, 2025:
