Mattel continues to squeeze every last drop out of the products it has invested in with the announcement of a yellow version of the Honda Acura NSX'90 (reference JTM59) which will be marketed in October 2026 and which will therefore join the red version of the JFT17 Hot Wheels '90 Acura Nsx set which has been on the market since September 2025.

A few days ago, Mattel announced the JNM81 '15 Audi R8 LMS Deluxe Version set , which is a variant of the Elite Series JFT18 Audi R8 LMS 2015 set.

The cost of manufacturing the specific parts for the different models in the Mattel Brick Shop range under Hot Wheels license needs to be recouped, but this announcement is hardly the most spectacular of the moment.

It now remains to be seen whether this trend towards disguised reissues will spread to the Premium Series HWW25 Hot Wheels Mercedes-Benz 300 SL set model, with, for example, a grey version of the vehicle that could find its audience.

Will the brick console war take place? Mattel today announces a new product in its Mattel Brick Shop universe which will be marketed from October 16, 2026: the reference HYL44 Microsoft XBOX Collector Building Set with its inventory of 3509 pieces and its retail price set at €350.

Inside the box, you'll find everything you need to assemble a 1:1 scale model of the famous Microsoft console, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, complete with its controller. Inside the console itself are several removable dioramas depicting games available on the platform launched in November 2001: Halo, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Psychonauts. The various characters are represented in the NanoWorld Figures format, now used for Mattel Brick Shop products and already seen in merchandise for the film Masters of the Universe.

As a final touch of refinement, the console will feature a light and sound kit whose functions can be activated directly from the controller, with four unique light and sound sequences available.

This announcement is reminiscent of the approach already used by LEGO on several products that allow you to assemble consoles and their accessories, such as sets 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System , 10306 Atari 2600 , 72046 Nintendo Game Boy , 40769 SEGA Genesis Controller , and 40926 SEGA Genesis Console . Mattel is adopting the principle of a diorama hidden within the machine but is going a step further by offering genuine light and sound interaction.

As a reminder, Mattel already offered in 2024 an interpretation of the Microsoft XBOX 360 console at 3:4 scale in the HWW15 MEGA Microsoft XBOX 360 Collector Building Set.

This new product is already available online at Amazon; hopefully, the retailer will sell it at a price lower than the advertised retail price on the official Mattel Brick Shop.

Mattel today unveils a new vehicle in its Hot Wheels licensed range, the '15 Audi R8 LMS Deluxe Version set (JNM81) which is a variant of the Elite Series Audi R8 LMS 2015 set (820 pieces) (JFT18).

This box, which will be an Amazon exclusive available from October 1, 2026, contains 861 elements to assemble the vehicle with a host of accessories that will allow for some aesthetic whims such as carbon effect bricks, a sheet of personalized stickers, additional parts and 3 sets of hubcaps.

This product is already available for pre-order on Amazon US for $75; it is also listed on Amazon France, but pre-orders are not currently available there.

We can finally start taking Mattel seriously: the manufacturer today unveils a new addition to its Mattel Brick Shop range under official Hot Wheels license with the JNP49 HALO USNC M12 Warthog set.

This 935-piece set, part of the manufacturer's Elite Series, will allow you to assemble the 1:22 scale vehicle, which will, as usual, be accompanied by a 1:64 scale metal vehicle.

Metal hubcaps, independent suspension, accessible engine, functional winch, personalization stickers, all the usual refinements will be present here.
