Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO Star Wars set 40483 Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber, a box of 173 pieces that will be offered from November 26 to 29 for the purchase of the LEGO Star Wars set 75313AT-AT (799.99 €). This is not the first time that LEGO has tried to reproduce a saber handle from the Star Wars universe, the manufacturer already offered in 2020 the reference 5006290 Star Wars Yoda's Lightsaber offered to VIP program members with the purchase of the LEGO Star Wars set 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina.

This new set being a gift offered to all customers of the official online store or the LEGO Stores without requiring a VIP member status, the packaging here is different from that reserved for the boxes offered as VIP "rewards". The box stamped "18+" is therefore a little sexier and fits in with the rest of the range and in particular products intended for an adult clientele who can afford to have fun with the biggest sets imagined by LEGO.

Two sachets and a few minutes later, the object is assembled. Nothing very complicated here, the pleasure will lie above all in the display of the product on the corner of a shelf. We will still remember the presence of a Kyber crystal at the heart of the handle and the correct finish of the product, even if we do not reach the level of detail of the best fan creations on this theme and the metallic aspect is not really at the rendezvous with the gray parts used. No laser, it's just the handle. The display to build here doesn't coordinate with the one for Yoda's saber handle and that's a bit of a shame, especially since this one is a bit more understated and understated. The plate specifying what it is is obviously pad printed, there are no stickers in this box.

Do not bother to make tons, this is not a product that will be available in your favorite toy store and the limited distribution of this box, conditioned with the purchase of a set sold at the public price of 799.99 €, the reserve de facto to a clientele of fans who will absolutely want to own or exhibit this reproduction of the handle of Luke Skywalker's saber. It will therefore be up to everyone to do their accounts and judge the relevance of the offer: Immediately buy a set that will sooner or later end up being available for much less elsewhere and take advantage of this gift or ignore the object and take his pain patiently.

Let's be honest, this exclusive little box will reward anyone who doesn't hesitate to purchase the LEGO Star Wars set. 75313AT-AT from its launch and we can consider that LEGO is making the effort to offer them an original, unique and exclusive reward. Those who, like me, had fallen into the trap of VIP Black Card and his promises on the occasion of the launch of the set 75192 Millennium Falcon will appreciate. Those who hope to see one day arrive a whole range of saber handles from the Star Wars universe are for the moment at their expense, LEGO seems to reserve the idea for specific operations with very limited mintage products.

Today we are talking about the LEGO plate again 5007016 VIP 1950's Retro Tin currently offered until November 25 at LEGO from 250 € of purchase: I received my order placed during the VIP weekend and I was surprised to discover the object in two copies in the box. I said to myself that it would be fashionable to share it with a reader of the site and to briefly present the thing to you in passing.

As we suspected, the product is made by Chinese company RDP like all other metal key rings already offered through the VIP program. The finish is not bad if we admit that it is a simple promotional product that mimics vintage enamel signs: the printing is correct, without smudges or stains. The plate comes in a paper case which could have been a little sexier, for example a canvas bag with a lace at the end. Nothing is provided on the back to hang the object on the wall, it will be necessary to be creative with for example a double-sided adhesive or simply to expose this plate of 30 x 15 cm resting on something.

It is not in my eyes the derivative product of the year, even if the initial idea is rather interesting. A simple minifigure associated with the effigy for example of Ole Kirk Christiansen would have been enough to transform this award into a truly desirable LEGO product. As it stands, it's still taken for those who had planned to take advantage of the doubling of VIP points on the Shop to afford one of the rare products exclusive to the official online store still in stock. The minimum amount to spend to get this plaque, € 250 with no range restriction, is arguably a bit high compared to the actual value of the product and it's a safe bet that a lot of customers have stopped at the lower tier of 170. € which allowed to obtain a copy of the set 40484 Santa's Front Yard.

Personally, I prefer that LEGO give me LEGO for my LEGO purchases. Even the worst polybags are enough to satisfy me where a product perhaps more elaborate but a little off topic often leaves me unmoved. To each his own perception of the thing, I know that this plaque will delight some fans as decoration on the walls of their Lego room.
