The five finalist projects of the reboot du Bricklink Designer Program, entitled Series 3 will finally be available for pre-order starting October 8, 2024 at 17:00 p.m.

As usual, the sets that will gather at least 3000 pre-orders will be produced in 30.000 copies and will go into production in March 2025. We also get the public prices of these five boxes, you now have a little over a month to decide whether to crack and pay the requested sums:

The team in charge of selecting the ideas that will become official products still has as much work to do, even if the volume has dropped significantly in recent years: 35 projects have gathered the 10.000 supporters needed to move them into the review phase between May and September 2024 on the LEGO IDEAS platform.

As usual, the selection is made up of more or less interesting ideas, slightly crazy projects that have no chance of passing, various licenses, modulars, vehicles, etc. We still wonder why LEGO accepts ideas today, some of which are very similar. already validated elsewhere like the Italian Riviera or have even been the subject of an official product like the vintage radio (LEGO ICONS 10334 Retro Radio).

All will not be lost for those who see their project definitively fall by the wayside, they will receive a consolation prize consisting of LEGO products worth a total of $500. In my opinion, this will be well paid for some of them...

After adidas, next year it will be NIKE's turn to partner with LEGO on a range of products in the colors of the Billund manufacturer. The collaboration between the two brands will extend over several years and we are promised "products, content and experiences that will combine the creative power of LEGO bricks with the “Just Do It” spirit of the NIKE brand".

In fact, this partnership should mainly result in a few pairs of sneakers and a slew of co-branded clothing sold at a high price as was the case until now with adidas.

You probably already know, LEGO is present at Gamescom 2024 which takes place in Cologne (Germany) from August 21 to 25, 2024.
