This is THE unmissable event at the start of the year that generally brings us the most information and images on the latest LEGO novelties: The New York Toy Fair, the 2013 edition of which opens its doors from Sunday 10 February should allow us to get a more precise idea of the content of the sets we already know exist but for which we have had to be satisfied until now with preliminary visuals.
This year again, we will be able to count on FBTB, Yakface and a few others to offer us their detailed reports embellished with many photos.
Below is a photo of the badge (provided by Yakface) which grants access to the " LEGO Collector Event " which will take place on Sunday morning and which offers 125 guests the opportunity each year to discover all the new LEGO products in advance, and incidentally to obtain a small limited edition souvenir which will allow some to offset the cost of the trip.
Last year, guests at this event were treated to two collector minifigures produced in only 125 copies: Iron Man and Captain America.
I was able to afford these two minifigs for the seller's airline ticket price on eBay.
No information has filtered out on this year's "gift". My wallet is just hoping it won't be a Star Wars, Super Heroes, or LOTR / The Hobbit-themed collector's memento.
