New video game coming in 2026: LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

If you like LEGO video games, you'll be able to reunite with Batman in 2026 in the LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight Rises video game.

Warner Bros. Games states that "This open-world action-adventure game immerses you in Bruce Wayne's epic journey to become Gotham City's legendary hero. Inspired by decades of Batman movies, TV shows, comics, and games, this title is packed with nostalgic nods, must-see references to the DC universe, and TT Games' signature LEGO humor for an experience that's as spectacular as it is enjoyable.". The LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight game will feature seven playable characters: Batman, Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. Each character will be equipped with unique abilities, combos, and gadgets. Players will face off against Gotham City's most notorious DC Super Villains, including The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra's al Ghul, Bane, and many more. We're guaranteed an open-world Gotham City to explore, with puzzles to solve, challenges to overcome, rewards to collect, crimes to fight, and surprises to discover around every corner.

A two-player local co-op mode will be available only. Online co-op will not be available. There will be no microtransactions or consumable purchases in the game.

The game, developed by publisher TT Games, which we haven't seen at the helm of a LEGO product since 2022, will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
