 LEGO® Super Hero Movie Maker

LEGO has just announced the launch of an iPhone application that looks promising. First disappointment, the application is not optimized for iPad, you have to zoom.

But when we finally understand how the thing works, it is obvious that the iPad does not really lend itself to it: LEGO® Super Hero Movie Maker is nothing more than an application that offers you to edit your photos to give stop-motion animation. Everything is wrapped in the possibility of inserting a title, credits, music and some effects. It is also possible to speed up or reduce the speed of the video.

It's funny two minutes, but hey, I don't really have the patience to take dozens of pictures with my phone to hope for something cool. Fans of brickfilms may take this a little more seriously. The others will have fun with it for three minutes.

Good point, it's free ...

LEGO Star Wars 6005192 TC-14 Exclusive Minifig

You don't have a facebook account? You don't like facebook? Are you too young to have an account? You think it's unfair that alone Hoth Bricks Fans on facebook have the right to win one of the TC-14 Chrome Silver involved?

I have the solution: I also put in play 2 additional copies directly on the blog.

The rule is simple: You just need to have posted at least once a comment on one of the articles of the blog (any one) to participate in the draw which will take place after April 30, 2012 and which will designate the 2 winners of the coveted bag. If you've never posted a comment here, do so, it's not dangerous.
There is no point in spamming articles, one comment is enough. There is also no point in posting dozens of comments with different nicknames, the system is a little smarter than that ...

I don't want to organize a quiz or put too many constraints, it's up to you to play the game. Only luck will decide who will be able to win one of the 2 bags put into play here. winners will be contacted individually by email (Make sure you enter a valid email when posting the comment).

I hope that I have met your expectations and your comments and I wish you all good luck.

PS: Don't worry about your email addresses, I don't sell them, I don't spam, and everything is secure as much as possible.

Droideka by madLEGOman

Designing a Droideka is a real challenge. Allowing it to curl up is an additional difficulty that poses a problem for many OMCs. Jack McKeen alias madLEGOman succeeds in offering a Destroyer Droid faithful to the original model and which can close in on itself with a beautiful, well-compact spherical shape.

We are far from the three versions offered by LEGO so far (A first version appeared in 2002 in sets 7163 Republic Gunship et 7203 Jedi Defense. A second version was delivered in 2007 in the set 7662 Trade Federation MTT . Finally, a third version is included in the 2011 set 7877 Naboo Starfighter.) and it is time for the manufacturer to update its model to offer us something more successful ...

LEGOstein - Episode VI Return of the Jedi - Jabba The Hutt, Bib Fortuna & Slave Leia

The exercise may make you smile, but the result is always amazing: LEGOstein, aka Christopher Deck, has embarked on a new series of staging with one constraint: Reproducing places and characters from the Star Wars universe but without using licensed bricks or minifigs.

You have to know how to keep an open mind to make the link between the characters reproduced and their equivalents in the official range, but the bet is in my opinion successful. Evidenced by this slightly crazy Jabba The Hutt, this Bib - Banana - Fortuna or this larger-than-life Princess Leia ...

In the scene below from theEpisode IV: A New Hope, we find Luke, who does his business with the Jawas in the middle of a slew of droids. Finally, we find Han Solo and Greedo for the remake of a cult scene in Mos Eisley's Cantina.

LEGOstein - Episode IV A New Hope - Luke, Jawas & Droids

Some will find the result rather mixed, for my part I must admit that I took a little time to be seduced and then I remembered having posted a post here on the work of maestro s.fujita who in 1992, 7 years before the release of the first official set in the Star Wars range, had painstakingly reproduced each episode of the Original Trilogy with the parts and minifigs available at the time.

If we put all this in perspective, I tell myself that the current work of LEGOstein is a form of tribute to this precursor that was Maestro s.fujita and we will appreciate all the more his effort of reinterpretation ...

IF you missed my ticket LEGO Star Wars Trilogy by maestro s.fujita, meet immediately on this page, you will not regret it.

Then you can check out what LEGOstein has to offer on his Brickshelf gallery. He should add new scenes to it regularly.

Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter by Dapper-D2

Another beautiful example of minimalist realization that we immediately identify thanks to the colors and the general shape. Dapper-D2 offers here Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter in a simplified version and a reduced format, but it retains the main characteristics of its big brother in UCS format, the set 10215 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter.

Some people may find this realization a little too simplistic, but I always admit to being amazed by the power of suggestion of intelligently chosen pieces ....

Some additional photos to discover on the flickr gallery MOCeur or on the dedicated topic at Eurobricks.
