The Avengers Movie: Aliens

Well, here is finally a close-up on the heads of the bad aliens (no, they are not Skrulls, problem of license, rights, money what ...) that we will see in the movie The Avengers and who will be the balance of very, very bad Loki ....

For comparison, I put you the representation seen by LEGO of these invaders with skulls (which will be available in the sets 6865 Captain America's Avenging Cycle et 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle), who in the film are ultimately armored skeletons. I'm a little disappointed by the very theoretical resemblance between the two ... Obviously, LEGO has a habit of styling the characters concerned with minifig sauce, but here I still have a few questions ...

What do you think ?

Finally, I put you below the mini-trailer from which the image of the film's aliens is extracted.

6005188 Darth Maul

I received the minifig in a bag sent by the Bricklink seller I was telling you about in this article. The time to take a photo and offer it to you here, I must admit that it is really successful.

Do not rush to Bricklink to pay a high price, it will probably be available again soon and probably for free ...

LEGO Super Heroes Marvel - LEGO The Avengers Poster

A new version of the movie poster The Avengers with LEGO sauce has been posted on Eurobricks by GRogall, which claims a copyright on it, letting me think that he works for LEGO or that he acts as a speaker in product placement on behalf of a communication agency, which would explain its ease in getting its hands almost systematically on high-resolution images of sets even before LEGO officially releases them.

If there is really a copyright on this image, that the copyright holders let me know formally, knowing that it has already been reposted on flickr by some users ...

In short, this image shows an Iron Man without his helmet, to better match the original movie poster, and it is available in high resolution (3500x4954) at this address or by clicking on the image, if you want to print a copy.

This poster will apparently be distributed in select theaters on May 4, 2012 when the film is officially released.

Batman Desk Plate by ZetoVince

A nice achievement from the one who offered us a Aesthetically very successful tumbler, I named ZetoVince.

With this small display incorporating the Batman Beyond logo, you can play it in front of your colleagues who will take you for a geek of the worst kind. Add lighting and you can send the Bat-Signal to the walls of your open space. Your boss should come running within 30 seconds to remind you that Batman is good, but here you are at work ....

More details on this achievement on the flickr gallery by ZetoVince.

LEGO Cuusoo - The Winchester (Shaun of the Dead)

Here we are, the project The Winchester (Shaun of the Dead) initiated by yatkuu has reached 10.000 supporters. The support of Simon Pegg (Shaun in the film) on Twitter or during his visit to the Conan O'Brien Show is undoubtedly for something.

But a big problem now arises that the project must be examined by LEGO in order to assess the possibility of marketing a set based on the work of yatkuu: How LEGO is going to be able to respond to the enthusiasm of the fans of this film-based MOC , certainly humorous, but which contains violence, gore, living dead, etc ....

LEGO already bordered on this in its first comment on Cuusoo: This is indeed a comedy and LEGO has already produced sets about universes with living dead, violence, fighting, etc ... and after the Lord of the Rings lineup and its orcs, there will be no valid excuse to deny this project for reasons related to the so-called politics moral from LEGO ....

After that, we can also wonder if this type of set will meet with sufficient commercial success to justify going into production. Supporting a project with one click and following the buzz is one thing, paying € 200 or € 300 is another. Shaun of the Dead, released in 2004, isn't exactly the movie that is creating the buzz right now ... and the people who voted to support the project aren't necessarily all AFOLs.

I look forward to the result of the LEGO Review Stage which should last several weeks ... I have a small idea of the result ...
