To start the day, a nice achievement of more than 15.000 pieces from KNIGHT with this Republic Hangar and its Gunship alias Low Altitude Assault Transport (LAAT). Heavy work on the walls of the hangar and use of dice from LEGO board games. the LAAT is also well designed.

A creation to discover thanks to the many shots on the flickr gallery by KNIGHT

ZanXBal got an interesting surprise unboxing his set 6864 Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase : The mask of the Batman minifigure is significantly different from the one we already know. Since he posted pictures on brick set, speculation is rife about this new mask (left in the photo) that does not properly cover Batman's face and looks like it came from a new mold.

Some already argue that this is a version intended for sets on the theme of The Dark Knight Rises, designed to be more like the costume of Christian Bale in the film. Others think that it is simply an update of the existing mold in order to refine the features of the mask, especially at the level of the eyebrows.

But then why did this version end up in this set with a face that is not suitable? Is this a packaging error? From a manufacturing problem? in any case, we will have to wait to find out more ...

You probably already know Brickplumber and its huge dioramas on Hoth or Endor ... The goal here is not to talk to you about these dioramas again, even if they deserve to be considered as exceptional creations, but rather to talk to you of the transport of these immense scenes.

Indeed, Brickplumber travels with his works and exhibits them for various events. Sure his flickr gallery, he shows us the different containers that were specially designed to transport his Endor diorama exhibited during the 2012 Star Wars Weekend which took place in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We thus discover how it packs soil and vegetation, trees, the generator or even the tree-village of the Ewoks... Each container has been carefully designed and thought for its content. Those who often exhibit their creations know how important it is to organize your packaging properly, otherwise you have to urgently repair your work before the opening of the exhibition concerned ...

Go take a walk on brickplumber's flickr gallery, you may find some ideas there to protect your MOCs during transport, and you will discover or rediscover his Endor diorama ...

Available at a price of 26.66 € on amazon.fr.

As far as I am concerned, you will not be angry with me for staying on my position: These very nice books are rather simplistic and have no real interest: In the age of the Internet and with sites like brick set ou Bricklink, I don't necessarily need this type of paper catalog to find the minifigs I'm looking for and I don't find myself having a good reason to leaf through this kind of directory in my spare time ...

After all, if some make their own custom minifigs, others produce equally customized machines out of their imagination, each his own ...

The Sten Junkie has embarked on the production of a Tie fighter crossed with a Jedi Starfighter eta-2 to achieve this quite charming result ... The craft can accommodate 2 minifigs and 2 Astromech droids, and it has many functions bringing a little playability to the whole.

So don't just stand there and go on his flickr gallery to discover other views of this MOC which will not necessarily please everyone but which has the merit of originality. Anyway, I love this mix of genres ...
