9490 Droid Escape

Some close-ups on the content of the set 9490 Droid Escape which is worth all the same more by the new minifigs that it contains than by the capsule itself.

However, it is well designed and very detailed. It can easily accommodate C-3PO and R2-D2, and completes a set that offers new unpublished minifigs: a C-3PO with a new and original screen printing and two Sandtroopers also equipped with a beautiful very detailed screen print. Without doubt my favorite set for early 2012.

Lego batman 2

We have known for a few months now, a video game called LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is on the rails.

A visual was already available, announcing the presence of at least Superman alongside Batman.

A new visual confirms the upcoming release of the game on most platforms: Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, XBOX 360 and Playstation (3 / Vita).

The game should bring together all the super heroes of the DC Universe line, Batman, Robin, Superman and Wonder Woman; who will unite to fight against the most emblematic villains: The Joker, Lex Luthor or Catwoman.
No release date has been officially announced, but we can bet on the end of the first quarter of 2012.

Note the mention RP (Rating) at the bottom right of the image indicating that the game is pending classification regarding the minimum age requirement.

9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor

So it's off again for a slew of images of the 2012 novelties of the LEGO Star Wars range. We continue with the set 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor.

The device is a nice evolution of the Jedi Interceptor from the set 7256 Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid released in 2005 or that of the set 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring released in 2007.

The wings are pleasantly revised and the barrels are well designed. R2-D2 is housed in the left wing, which it therefore crosses completely, and remains supported by a support placed under the wing. The mixture of colors works quite well, in any case on these photos, you will have to see the rendering on the set itself.

The other wing uses the same design with a few flick-fire missiles, a LEGO trademark that serves as an alibi for the gameplay.

Side minifigs, Nute Gunray is simply magnificent, and finally represents a beautiful evolution of the minifig of the set 8036 Separatist Shuttle also seen in the Advent Calendar 7958 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar.

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker are dressed in silkscreen print halfway between classic Star Wars design and very spirit. cartoon Clone Wars.

A platform allowing to reproduce the duel on Mustafar is provided. A bit of a gadget, but always welcome to bring a little playability to the whole.

9493 X-Wing Starfighter

Here are some unseen views of the X-Wing from the set 9493 X-Wing Starfighter which allow to better understand the line of this iconic ship of the Star Wars universe. We find the eternal mechanism of deployment of the wings, with the inevitable rubber bands, which always remind me a little of a bad low-end Chinese toy.

Seen from these different angles, we are still dealing with a well-designed ship, without fancy, but which should satisfy X-Wing enthusiasts who have not yet tired of the different editions and allow those who do not yet have it. to get it at a price almost reasonable.

Visually, I find that this X-Wing is still very similar to the one in the set 6212 X-Wing Fighter released in 2006, even if in terms of design there are some interesting innovations to further refine the overall line of this vessel.
