Seen on Jedi News, an image showing five Mini Sets, four of which have already been released to date.

Apparently this new "LEGO Vulture Droid Mini" set will be released in Japan at least around April 2011 ....

Until we can afford it at a gold price on BrickLink, as usual .....

The new LEGO Store Calendar for the month of April 2011 is available and there is some interesting info on the actual release of Series 4 of collectible minifigures.
It will therefore be possible to find them around April 15 in the USA. More surprisingly, the blurb clearly mentions "These limited edition minifigures won't last long" which can be interpreted in different ways.

But above all this type of discourse confirms that LEGO maintains the effect of exclusivity and shortage around this range, at least on the marketing level, but also in the field of availability as seen in the previous series.

Note the release of the Ninjago game on DS on 12/04 and that of the Maersk train on 25/04 for those who are impatiently awaiting it.

The creators of the site The Brick Show recently launched BrickLi.me, a social network dedicated to AFOLs of all kinds. Out of curiosity, I created there a page for Hoth Bricks.
The whole is technically rather well designed, even if some youthful flaws remain such as a certain overall slowness and the non-functioning of some third-party applications.
The community is large and growing day by day. There are a lot of teenagers who come to share their passion through the various services offered such as the forum, blog pages, chat, etc .... In short, a very active community, a little young, but interesting.
The relationship to Facebook is obvious, and it is questionable if this does not serve BrickLi.me in the long run. In any case, do not hesitate to visit this site and make up your mind on the interest or not of creating an account.

Already offered in 2009 by FBTB, here is the new 2011 Podracer Challenge Building Contest launched by From Bricks To Bothans.
The objective is to present a podracer on a theme chosen by the MOCeur, with the exception of the Star Wars theme.
The pod must only have two engines and a pilot, and must be a creation, impossible to present an MOC already presented elsewhere before.
If this challenge interests you, you have until March 31, 2001 at 11:59 a.m. to submit your pod respecting the competition rules.

The endowment consists of two awards: The "Fan Favorite Prize Package" with a set 7962 Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracer, a set 4485 Mini Sebulba's Podracer & Anakin's Podracer and a personalized trophy. The winner of the "Race Champion Prize Package" will also be offered a set 7962 Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracer, a set 4485 Mini Sebulba's Podracer & Anakin's Podracer and a personalized trophy.

seen on Darth Ray's flickr gallery, a new promotional mini set released by the American chain of stores Target, the reference 30054: AT-ST.

This is not really a novelty, this mini was already released in 2003 in the set 4486-1: AT-ST & Snowspeeder, this time with a change of color on some parts and the absence of serigraphy on the front panel of the machine.

In short, nothing very exciting, but as usual, we will be feverishly looking for this set on eBay or Bricklink at the best price in the coming weeks.
