avent
The rumor swells and it seems to be confirmed in view of the clues that appear here and there on the Internet.

2011 will see a Star Wars themed advent calendar.

Evidenced by this reference 7958 appeared on an online sales site whose sheet announces availability for October 2011. However, little information is provided on the sheet.

Hoping to find in this calendar some exclusive minifigs and other mini sets.

In any case, it will certainly be necessary to fight to find this set which risks becoming collector in less time than it takes to say it ... Wait and see ....

The Amazon.com MarketPlace displays these three boxes which can each contain a series of minifigs (16 characters).
Each box is sold for $ 19 excluding shipping costs and this product perfectly reproduces the design of each series (Color & Fonts), but is not an official LEGO product.
Despite everything, it must be admitted that the solution is attractive for all those who wish to display their series of minifigs in a dust-free environment and with a nice covering.
I am considering ordering these two products for my own use. If you are interested, post a comment and I think it is possible to get a discount on shipping costs via a bulk order or in any case large.
Edit: Amazon does not want to deliver these products to France, so I contacted the seller directly asking if he wanted to deliver to me directly, I am waiting for his response.

4915 in a bagHere is a fashion that will delight fans of improbable challenges and maniacal collectors of closed bags: the Bag Building.

The principle is simple: Fully assemble a set without opening the bag which contains the parts.

Some are quite gifted and recognize that patience is required. But the result is sometimes surprising, especially on some rather complicated sets.

There are even sets assembled in the bag for which the stickers could be applied after having rolled them and passed through the small holes of the bag.

To see on EuroBricks, the dedicated topic.

questYou've probably heard of this game LEGO Star Wars: The Quest For R2D2 found in the Fun Zone of the LEGO site.

Very nice, this mini game hides a well-kept secret accessible only to those who manage to finish it: The instructions for a new SW ship used by General Grievous in season 1 of the Clone Wars series, the Malevolence.

To build this set you will need the instruction booklets below:
Malevolence - PDF Instructions - Part 1
Malevolence - PDF Instructions - Part 2
Malevolence - PDF Instructions - Part 3
Malevolence - PDF Instructions - Part 4

But, because there is a but, in order to collect the necessary parts, you must have the following 2009 sets (or purchase the parts on BrickLink (!)):

7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid
7749 Echo Base
8016 Hyena Droid Bomber
8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter
8018 Armored Assault Tank (AAT)
8019 Republic Attack Shuttle
8036 Separtist Shuttle
8037 Anakin's Y-Wing Starfighter
8038 The Battle of Endor
8039 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser

The complete ship consists of 749 parts, and uses the sticker sheets from the sets mentioned above.

minifigsAll Star Wars minifig collectors should be familiar with this site listing everything that has been released or released when it comes to characters from the series.
Each minifig is documented and a link even returns to Bricklink to have a price estimate.
The author of the site is rather responsive, the photos are real snapshots and the result is simply stunning.
Meet without further delay on http://minifigs.nl/swminifigs/mfnl-all.html to check if your collection is up to date, and go hunting for minifigs that you are missing ......
