Today we take a very quick look at the contents of the LEGO Harry Potter set. 76460 Hogwarts Castle: Sorting Hat Ceremony, a small box of 124 pieces available since January 1, 2026 at the public price of €14,99.

The product title is clear: this is a new module for the Hogwarts reboot with grey roofs, initiated in 2024, featuring a Sorting Hat ceremony intended for installation in the already very crowded Great Hall of the set. 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall (€199,99). The product's mission therefore defines its scale and level of finish, and we thus obtain here some simplistic constructions associated with a wheel intended to bring a little playability to the whole.

The wheel is flanked by four coats of arms pad-printed on Tiles already seen in 2024 in the set 76438 Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2024As for the rest, we get some furniture that matches that of the Great Hall. No stickers in this box.

LEGO could have chosen to include characters other than Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Draco Malfoy in this set, just for a change. Instead, we'll have to make do with the three minifigures that reuse the classic crestless torso available since 2021, and logically, three of them are included here.

Only Draco Malfoy gets a brand-new head; Harry and Hermione reuse elements that have been available for several years within the LEGO Harry Potter range: Hermione's head dates back to 2018, and Harry Potter's to 2024, which was originally included in the set. 76429 Talking Sorting Hat (99,99 €).

Minerva McGonagall is identical here to the version available in the set since 2025 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons (€79,99) with its hat as well as in the set 76457 Hogsmeade Village (€379,99) but without the accessory.

This is far from the most polished version of the character from LEGO; for example, we got a better one in the 2021 set. 76382 Hogwarts Moment: Transfiguration Class or in 2024 in the set 76426 Hogwarts Castle Boathouse (€37.99). The character is accompanied here by his Cat Patronus, a figurine that is still as opaque and less successful than the one in the set. 76403 The Ministry of Magic (2022)

In short, for around fifteen euros, this little product will enhance the overall Hogwarts diorama currently being built by LEGO, with the added bonus of some playability that should allow younger children to have a bit of fun. That's already quite good for a set without great ambitions, which also allows you to obtain a new Patronus celebrating the 25th anniversary of the LEGO Harry Potter range, as well as the four pretty... Tiles pad printed.

As you probably already know, LEGO usually reserves a few exclusives for its official online store, and these exclusives can be temporary or permanent. The manufacturer takes into account the status of each of these sets within its affiliate program and regularly informs affiliates of any changes to the status of the sets in question.

The list of products considered exclusive to the official online store has been updated recently, and we therefore have the names of the products that will soon be available elsewhere at their public price or cheaper.

This does not refer to the products on the list below which are already on sale on some marketplaces at higher prices than at LEGO, the resellers concerned simply buying from the official online store to resell these boxes at a high price to the most gullible or the most impatient.

Please note that some of these sets are already on sale elsewhere than at LEGO, at certain retailers such as... Amazon, FNAC.com, TicketmasterSmyths Toys and King Jouet, for their part, negotiated specific exclusivity on certain items.

It has now become a tradition on the official online store that promotional products offered for the purchase of the most popular sets sell out very quickly, in any case well before the end of the scheduled offer.

Lego set 40891 WSQK Radio Station in principle offered with the purchase of the set 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House (€279,99) will therefore also have been sold out within hours of the launch of the Insiders preview, not even allowing it to reach the start date of the offer accessible to all announced for January 4, 2026. This offer was initially supposed to end on January 7, 2026.

It's hard to know if LEGO hadn't planned enough stock for this small box or if the LEGO ICONS set 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel HouseA temporary exclusive for the Shop, it was so successful that LEGO's forecasts weren't calibrated to properly meet demand. After all, if there aren't any left, it's because it's selling.

Those who didn't want to miss this opportunity to be rewarded for paying full price for the set were glued to their screens as early as 1:00 AM on January 01st; they know these offers rarely last. The others are inevitably disappointed. This promotional product was the only valid reason to spend the €280 LEGO was asking, especially since we know that in three months this set will be available elsewhere for much less.

The frustration is palpable, but it didn't take a genius to predict that this large box would sell like hotcakes, boosted by the Netflix release of the final episode of Stranger Things' fifth season. LEGO knew the product would be a hit from the start; in fact, the manufacturer had taken care to exclude this set from the offer that still allows customers to get a free copy. 40913 Vintage Parade Car from 200 € of purchase without restriction of range.

One detail, however: the LEGO set is obviously already available 40891 WSQK Radio Station on bricklink and in unusual quantities for an offer that has only just ended: some retailers in Asia have gotten their hands on complete batches of boxes and at least one of them is already able to deliver nearly a hundred copies at €76 each.

That a promotional product sells out quickly because the offer has found its audience is not worrying, but that a marketplace which belongs to LEGO hosts a parallel market with many copies of the product in question available in stock and sold at full price is not the best publicity for the brand among its most dedicated fans who could not take advantage of the offer because they were busy celebrating the new year properly at 01:00 a.m. on January 1st.

LEGO today unveils a new decorative item: the set 40957 Spring Wreath with its inventory of 747 pieces, it will be available from February 1, 2026, at a retail price of €49,99. This product will join the LEGO set 40825 Halloween Wreath (617 pieces - €39,99) available from August 1, 2025.

We will also remember the set 40426 Christmas Wreath 2-in-1 (510 pieces - €34.99) released in 2020 and then replaced in 2024 by the more ambitious crown in the LEGO ICONS set 10340 Wreath (1194 pieces - 99,99 €).

This new box does indeed take up the principle again with a plant wreath to be decorated for this version with themed decorations around spring or Easter.

A small update to the selection of LEGO polybags planned for 2026 with the official visuals of the bags licensed by DC, Marvel, Harry Potter, Minecraft, Sonic the Hedgehog and Creator, which are now available from some retailers.

These sachets join those already revealed a few weeks ago These polybags are generally sold at the recommended retail price of €3,99. Beware of resellers who inflate the price and resell them for much more. Some of these products will also be offered on the official online store throughout the year; your patience may be rewarded.
