11/10/2024 - 16:59 New LEGO 2024 Shopping

Today we quickly go around the contents of the LEGO set 40696 Bakery, a small promotional set of 376 pieces which will be offered from 200 € of purchase without restriction of range probably from the end of the offer currently in progress on the official online store as well as in the LEGO Stores which allows you to be offered a copy of the LEGO Creator set 40697 Halloween Pumpkin from 120 € of purchase.

As you already know, this box is the fourth and last in a collection of small sets featuring shops: the references 40680 Flower Store, 40684 Fruit Store et 40692 Candy Store have already been offered under the same conditions in the past and it will be up to each person to decide whether it was really necessary to spend at least €800 to obtain the entire collection which includes four promotional products.

For the rest, it's pretty well designed even if the aesthetics of the product are partly based on the eight imposed stickers and one might wonder why LEGO chose to stage this little bakery in a festive and snowy context which doesn't really fit in with the other boxes in the collection.

The sidewalk here is indeed snow-white, so it does not match that of the other three shops and visual continuity will no longer be ensured when it comes to proudly lining up the four constructions on a shelf.

Like the other themed shops in the collection, this bakery is quite well stocked with furniture and products that are spread over the two floors. It is minimalistic due to the imposed scale but there is something to please you with some interesting construction techniques that will keep you busy for five minutes.

We're not going to blame LEGO for offering us real LEGO bricks, it's always better than the slightly off-topic scrap metal gadgets that the manufacturer regularly offers us, but the minimum purchase amount required to enjoy these products remains, in my opinion, much too high, the 376 pieces delivered in this box being mostly small elements and there is therefore not much plastic on arrival.

The bravest will console themselves by admiring the row of micro-Modulars obtained at the cost of a rather substantial financial effort. Personally, I have passed up this collection, I don't know what to do with these mini-things even if I salute the effort to offer something creative and visually accomplished.

Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at October 21th 2024 next at 23:59 p.m. Simply post a comment below the article to participate.
