LEGO Star Wars Brick Logo - DIY Collector Building Set - Iconic Pop Culture Symbol Model - Home Decoration
Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO set 40775 Mini Knight's Castle, a box of 590 pieces which will be offered from 250 € purchase without range restriction on the official online store during the Insiders weekend (22-23/11/2025) as well as during Black Friday (28/11-01/12/2025).
LEGO never misses an opportunity to cultivate its own legend with a wealth of diverse and varied tributes to its most iconic ranges, and this new box is once again to be filed in the self-promotion category.
The inventory of 590 pieces makes it possible to reproduce micro versions of the sets 6073 Knight's Castle (1984) et 6086 Black Knight's Castle (1992). One might be surprised that a promotional product offers nearly 600 pieces, but let's not get carried away; these are mainly small items.
Those who, in their childhood, held in their hands the sets to which LEGO pays homage here may find something to enjoy in these minimalist but rather faithful interpretations of the two castles in question.
The one from the set 6073 Knight's Castle It was already a relatively basic construction at the time, so it makes sense that its micro version didn't exactly set the world on fire. The version representing the castle from the set 6086 Black Knight's Castle On the other hand, it is more luxurious, it includes many details present on the classic version of the place such as the printed relief base plate or the trapdoor and the well which then hid the central hole of the plate.
The whole thing is accompanied by two tiny knights on their mounts, not particularly interesting but perhaps amusing to those feeling nostalgic. Ultimately, I find it all a bit ugly and messy, but that's just my personal opinion.
The product assembly phase is quite interesting, but patience is required when aligning the numerous 1x1 pieces provided. There are no stickers included in this box.
I'm not really the target audience for this promotional product; I never owned either of the sets this box references when I was younger. So, I'm not thrilled about the €250 price point being occupied by a product aimed at a nostalgic adult fan base. I would have preferred something more generic and perhaps festive for this time of year, like the other current promotional set, the LEGO reference. 40776 Hot Chocolate Stand which will be offered for purchases of €170 or more.
I can understand LEGO wanting to appeal to today's adults who were yesterday's children, but I'm not sure the Insiders Weekend and Black Friday deals needed these tiny gadgets. LEGO could have paired this product with a themed tribute set at another time of year, to really target the audience who are fans of the LEGO universe. Classic Castle.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if this product truly deserves a place in your collection. We all know that the €250 threshold can be reached very quickly on the official online store, so you can always resell this box to recoup some of the cost if you don't find it essential.
Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at December 4, 2025 at 23:59 PM. Simply post a comment under the article to participate. Shipping to the winner will only begin on January 1, 2026.
