Review : LEGO 40776 Hot Chocolate Stand

Today we go very quickly around the contents of the LEGO set 40776 Hot Chocolate Stand, a small box of 256 pieces which will be offered from 170 € purchase without range restriction on the official online store during the Insiders weekend (22-23/11/2025) as well as during Black Friday (28/11-01/12/2025).

The challenge here is to assemble a small street stall shaped like a hot chocolate mug that sells...hot chocolate to passersby. And it has to be said, it's rather well executed despite a limited inventory. The general shape of the stall is recognizable, with its handle and foam-like roof extending beyond the rim of the mug; it's convincing.

This box even includes two gold pieces for the storefront, three stickers, and LEGO also provides a copy of the printed "menu" already seen in LEGO CITY sets since 2023. 60366 Ski and Climbing Center and LEGO IDEAS 21353 Botanical Garden.

The build quality is relatively good, sufficient at least for inclusion in a Winter Village or winter diorama. Two minifigures are included; they only use common LEGO elements, but you never complain about having an extra barista torso and winter sweater.

The customer's fur hat is not new; it was already included in several LEGO CITY sets sold since 2023.

Does that mean you have to spend €170 on full-price products to get this little promotional offer? That's far from certain, but the Insiders weekend will also allow you to double the points awarded for each set purchased and take advantage of some discounts on interesting sets.

In summary, it's cute, it's a shame the minimum amount required to obtain this product is high, but if you have a Winter Village set up in your living room at the end of the year this pretty product will easily find a place among the other festive and snowy constructions.
