Review : LEGO 40863 Easter Egg Basket

Today we take a quick look at the contents of the LEGO set 40863 Easter Egg Basket, a small box of 216 pieces on the theme of Easter available since January 1, 2026 at the public price of €14,99.

This small seasonal item can be stored with the rest of your Christmas or Halloween decorations and brought out once a year for Easter. For once, the box is a bit too big for its contents, but it allows you to store everything without having to take it apart between uses, so we're not complaining. The little basket, with its simple yet convincing design, can be used to display real painted eggs or end its days as a catch-all on the entryway dresser.

For the rest, it's obviously very quick to assemble, there are no stickers, the three eggs vaguely resemble painted eggs and the chick is just acceptable even if some will find it cute.

The subject has already been thoroughly explored by LEGO over the years with products on the same theme sold or offered under the condition of purchase; this one would undoubtedly have been a perfect GWP rather than ending up being sold for €15 in the shelves of the official online store.
