Today we stay in the 4+ universe with a quick tour of the contents of the LEGO DC set 76301 Batman & Batmobile vs. Mr. Freeze, a small box of 63 pieces available since January 1, 2025 on the official online store at the public price of €19,99.
As with all the boxes in this transition range between the DUPLO and System, it is better not to try to evaluate the content/price ratio of the product, it is not to the advantage of parents who are concerned about offering the best to their young children who are fed up with DUPLO and who are ruining themselves in the LEGO section.
The subject here: the Batmobile. The approach is necessarily ultra-minimalist and will bring back memories to fans of the defunct Mighty Micros range with a version barely more substantial than that of the sets 76061 Mighty Pickups Batman vs. Catwoman (2016) or 76092 Mighty Pickups Batman vs. Harley Quinn (2018)
The whole thing is very quickly assembled, there are no stickers and the vehicle is easily handled without breaking anything. If you collect Batmobiles in all formats, this one can join the equally minimalist and almost cute one from the LEGO DC set 76224 Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase (€47.99) marketed in 2023.
Opposite, we find Mr. Freeze with his very symbolic ice cannon topped with an Eskimo and capable of ejecting the two pieces provided. Nothing crazy, but the youngest will probably have fun for five minutes trying to knock out the Batmobile.
The good surprise comes from the two figurines provided in this box: Batman is flanked by a new torso that is currently only available in this box but that we will probably see again and again in future products and Mr. Freeze is new in this form with a very nice torso but a pair of neutral legs.
Mr. Freeze's head is not new, however, it is the one available since 2024 in the LEGO DC set 76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze (€59.99). No hard cape for Batman, the accessory probably didn't fit into the budget and you have to make do with the usual soft element.
In short, nothing to get up at night for, but the possibility of getting two currently unreleased figurines at a lower cost in a box that is obviously available elsewhere than at LEGO for a little less. It's still a price for collectors whose Ribba frames dedicated to the DC range have been struggling to fill up a little in recent years.
