Today we're going to quickly review the contents of the LEGO Disney set 43281 Elsa's Ice Castle & Snow Ride Adventure, a 4+ marked box of 216 pieces available since January 1, 2026 at a public price of €49,99.
I won't repeat the pitch for these boxes bearing the 4+ logo, which confirms that the price is tailor-made for parents concerned with offering the best toys to their offspring; you already know that these sets are overpriced for what they actually have to offer.
Here, you can still have a little fun with a railway track. roller coaster LEGO set consisting of four semi-curves and two straight rails. Semi-curves hadn't been seen in a LEGO set since 2021 and the LEGO Friends set. 41685 Magical Funfair Roller Coaster (€89.99) which at the time allowed you to get two copies. The two straight track sections included in this 2026 release, however, are new in this color; this is their first appearance in a LEGO set.
This is also the case for the chassis of the three wagons supplied; this is their first appearance in Dark Turquoise This brings to ten the number of different colors available for this essential element for LEGO roller coaster fans. LEGO amusement park enthusiasts might therefore find in this set something to expand their inventory of indispensable accessories for their dioramas, provided they can find it significantly cheaper elsewhere than at LEGO.
Otherwise, it's a box bearing the 4+ logo, and the suggested builds are, logically, extremely simplified. Elsa's castle isn't exactly top-notch if you consider it as anything more than a simple amusement park decoration. But if you try to look on the bright side, there might be something here to fill a corner of a Disneyland-themed diorama, with a perfectly decent ride that just needs a little more development.
As for the included minifigures, you get Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Bruni, and three beautifully printed snowmen. Only Anna's skirt is new with this printing; the rest of the characters have already appeared in other sets. Bruni, for example, has been included in the same LEGO Disney set since June 2025. 43278 Mini Arendelle Castle & Elsa's Ice Palace (€49,99) and the heads of the three snowmen have been a hit on Frozen merchandise since 2021.
In short, this set is probably not essential unless you have Frozen fans in your circle who want to collect everything LEGO produces on the subject, but in my opinion it is an interesting starting point for building a nice attraction to integrate into a larger themed diorama.
