Today we quickly take a look at the contents of the LEGO Harry Potter set 76442 Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class, a small box of 204 pieces available since January 1, 2025 at the public price of €19,99.
You probably already know if you're following, this extension of the new reboot of the Hogwarts playset is designed to fit into the smallest niche of the foundations of the set's construction. 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall or in one of the tower levels of the set 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons.
This is a classroom where the Charms class is taking place in the presence of Professor Filius Flitwick, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The playset is therefore a module that unfolds and closes on itself, and which allows it to be stored in one of the available slots between two play sessions.
The construction is very quickly assembled, it offers no particular challenge and we find in this classroom the bare minimum in terms of furniture and other accessories. Hermione and Ron remain standing behind their desks due to the use of short non-articulated legs, large stickers from a sheet of 10 stickers are responsible for creating the atmosphere of the place and the whole thing is really a little disappointingly simple even if the fans will see the essential to remember from the scene concerned.
LEGO could have treated the subject in the same way as the set 76431 Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class (397 pieces - €39,99) which offers a more substantial content, but the price positioning of this product within the range decided otherwise. It should also be noted that this is a copy of the collection of 14 portraits to collect.
As I said on the occasion of the "Review" relating to the set 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons, the possibility of inserting these small scenes into the overall Hogwarts playset is a good idea that allows LEGO to multiply the accessible extensions while always having the alibi of being able to integrate them into the overall diorama; unfortunately, at this stage it will be necessary to choose between several of these extensions, the number of available locations being limited while waiting for future constructions equipped with these niches.
Of the three minifigs included, only one is new: Professor Flitwick with his lovely torso. The two students are also included here in versions seen and reviewed in several sets in the range.
This product, which doesn't sparkle creatively, is therefore a simple affordable extension of a more global playset; its retail price positions it as a small gift to offer to a young fan who plans to collect all the sets planned to form the 2025 version of Hogwarts.
At this stage, this luxury playset for spoiled children or adult players is made up of the references below which will be joined from June 2025 by at least two boxes that the latest rumors tell us about:
