Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO Harry Potter set 76463 Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing, a box of 907 pieces which has been available since January 1, 2026 at a public price of €99,99.
As you already know if you've been following the evolution of the LEGO Harry Potter range closely, this set is actually just one of the many modules in the umpteenth Hogwarts reboot launching in 2024. This extension may not be the most interesting part of the overall diorama, but it adds its share of walls and roofs to what LEGO is announcing as the most detailed version of Hogwarts on the market to date.
We're not quite at the LEGO version of the subscription concept developed by Altaya with its overpriced vehicles assembled on credit, but at this stage, the grey-roofed reboot launched in 2024 already includes the sets below, along with modules that can fit into the niches of certain constructions:
|
From the outside, this wing of the castle features the usual walls adorned with a few stickers, a balcony, some vegetation, and the now-familiar gray roofs. The set's contents are integrated right next to it. 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower will be perfect. Inside, LEGO has developed three levels of locations and scenes that are more or less iconic from the saga, including the infirmary, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, and the Ravenclaw common room. Everything here is relatively symbolic, but the classroom can be removed and unfolded for a bit of fun, and the different areas are carefully designed.
For example, we could replay the scene with Ron Weasley's boggart and the wheeled spider seen during the film. Harry Potter and the Prisonnier d'AzkabanThe sideboard with its mirror is quite nice, with a glossy sticker that does the job, but the spider is frankly crude. We appreciate the reference, though, and will quickly put everything away in its designated niche.
The infirmary, which is actually located in the Clock Tower from the film onwards Harry Potter and the Prisonnier d'Azkaban It doesn't offer much besides two beds and a few accessories. There's nothing to do there anyway, except perhaps reenact the scene where Hermione uses the Time-Turner that the minifigure wears around its neck.
In addition, a copy of Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem can be found next to the common room located at the very top of the building.
A few stickers are obviously included, two of which simply depict bricks. A project like this would have benefited from having the design printed on the walls; it's not as if LEGO is only going to release these stickers once before this version of Hogwarts is complete.
The seven included characters are Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Remus Lupin with his Patronus, Penelope Clearwater, the Grey Lady, and a Dementor. All have neutral legs, while Harry, Ron, and Penelope have torsos that have been seen in other sets. Hermione's torso is new, featuring a nice update to the version seen in the 2019 set. 75947 Hagrid's Hut Buckbeak's Rescue Lupin, whose hairstyle is not very convincing here, and the Dementor.
The Grey Lady figurine is beautifully crafted with a more refined appearance than the version included in the 2023 set. 76413 Hogwarts: Room of Requirements and the special 25th anniversary Patronus from the range provided is still just as opaque.
This expansion is obviously essential for anyone who doesn't want to miss anything in the current LEGO version of Hogwarts, but in my opinion, it struggles to stand on its own. It contributes to the school's exterior appearance, but it doesn't offer anything particularly exciting internally, with limited playability and individual appeal that makes it somewhat dispensable beyond its obvious role in the overall diorama.
