Review: LEGO House 40506 Fabuland Tribute

Today we're briefly talking about a box that few fans will have the joy of getting at its official price anyway: the set 40506 Fabuland Tribute announced a few days ago and which has only been available since March 1, 2025 in the LEGO Store located in the heart of the LEGO House in Billund.

On site, you have to pay 649 DKK or around €87 to buy this tribute to the Fabuland range of 1026 pieces; from a distance, you have to agree to pay the costs of the person who went to collect it and resells it to you.

As you probably already know, this new LEGO House exclusive is the sixth in a collection of tributes to the manufacturer's iconic products or ranges:

The four characters are all equipped with accessories with three musicians and a conductor holding a Tile flanked by a sticker with a Fabuland version of the LEGO House in Billund. We would have liked a Tile pad printed, this product from an exclusive collection was worth the effort in my opinion.

Both Tiles installed on the large black support covered with greenery which is used to stage the four characters as well as the emblematic tree of the range are on their side pad printed, we appreciate.

In short, this set is aimed at a very targeted clientele who will undoubtedly appreciate the homage paid to the Fabuland range, a universe marketed by LEGO between 1979 and 1989 with nearly a hundred sets.

Although this niche product is beautifully presented and packaged, it will only appeal to a specific generation of fans and its limited marketing to a single LEGO Store is probably not a big deal to others. Those like me who did not know the Fabuland range during their younger years can go back to their usual activities, not being able to easily and reasonably obtain this box will not keep them awake at night.
