40920 lego looney tunes bugs bunny review 1

Today we'll take a very quick look at the contents of the LEGO Looney Tunes set. 40920 Bugs Bunny, a box of 605 pieces available since January 1, 2026 at the public price of €39,99.

This product is presented by LEGO as an Easter set, undoubtedly because it features a rabbit, but it's primarily an officially licensed Looney Tunes set that allows you to assemble a Bugs Bunny bust. LEGO's solution of offering only the bust instead of attempting a full-size figure is quite interesting, with Bugs Bunny appearing to emerge from his burrow.

If the figurine is truly believable, we should be wary of the official description which promises us a few features including "articulated wrists"Only the character's left hand can change angle, and the right hand is fixed. We are also told that..."Children can wrap Bugs' fingers around his inseparable carrot"and it is only possible to fold one finger over the carrot, the other two being fixed. The head is mobile, it can be oriented so as to look at the bee.

That being said, the building challenge, spread over nearly 200 steps with an inventory of over 600 pieces, is interesting, and there are no stickers in this box. The result seems truly successful to me; the bust is quite well finished from every angle, and the overall effect is very convincing. The most demanding modelers might want to add a little more detail to the edges of the burrow to enhance the overall effect, but this model seems worthy of a prominent place on any fan's shelf.

Perhaps a little more printing on the character's teeth or on the area that, from a distance, resembles a huge mustache would refine the overall finish. Bugs Bunny's fixed gaze might be considered a bit too "demonic" for a child's bedroom already traumatized by an Ewok or Chewbacca; having his eyes half-closed might have helped make this rabbit seem less menacing.

I don't quite understand the bee's expression; I don't know if it's scared of the rabbit or the carrot.

As it stands, I find it very acceptable, especially when compared to other LEGO-style creatures that are far less successful, and it should easily find its audience among cartoon fans. The same goes for Daffy Duck; I'd gladly take it.
