LEGO Super Mario Mighty Bowser - Collectible and Buildable Figure - 3D Collectible Model - Toy for Kids to Combine with the LEGO Super Mario Mighty Bowser Pack
Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO Marvel set 76309 Spider-Man vs. Venom Muscle Car, a box of 254 pieces available via the official online store since January 1, 2025 at the public price of €29,99.
Once again, LEGO tries to put a superhero who doesn't really need one behind the wheel of a vehicle in his image. Here it's Venom's turn to do it with a Muscle car rather successful with an aggressive look and which can even appropriate the tentacles of its owner to obtain an even more devastating look.
The vehicle is convincing with a rendering that finds its balance between what the Speed Champions and Marvel ranges usually offer. It's cartoony without overdoing it with a very decent finish and Venom can even sit behind the wheel with his back accessory, once rid of his tentacles.
Two Stud Shooters are installed on the bodywork but they can be easily removed if they bother you. The hood with the Venom image is pad printed, there are no stickers in this box. This hood can be easily replaced by a neutral version of the very common part that is used here, you get on arrival a Muscle car generic black that can wander around your city dioramas.
LEGO provides us with a trunk that can be attached to the car in break-in mode seen in Fast & Furious, a few ingots and that's it. It's a bit meager for €30, knowing that the minifigs only partially save the day.
The Spider-Man figure is the one seen in a good fifteen boxes of the Marvel range since 2021, the Venom figure has existed in this form since 2019 and there is only Spider-Woman in the Julia Carpenter version to be completely new here. The minifig is successful, I would just have taken the opportunity to give him arms in two shades to symbolize the white sleeves of his costume.
But that's already very good, we're not going to complain about having the right to a truly new figurine rather than yet another variant of a character already seen too much in the past.
As is often the case, the white areas of Venom and Spider-Woman appear a little gray against the black background of the pieces that feature the pad printing, and the official visuals were once again a little too optimistic.
It should be noted that the title of the set does not even mention Spider-Woman; LEGO judged that this character was not well-known enough to attract customers.
Upon arrival, I find this unpretentious little set rather convincing, knowing that you can obviously find it cheaper elsewhere than at LEGO. It is in the soft underbelly of the range's price range and it offers three figurines associated with a vehicle with a look that seems perfectly acceptable to me. Children love cars, this one will definitely please them with its aggressive look and its attributes perfectly symbolizing its owner. No question of spending €30 for this, but at less than €25, it's worth a try.
