Review : LEGO Marvel 76334 Epic Battle: Spider-Man vs. Sandman

Today we take a very quick tour of the content of the LEGO Marvel set 76334 Epic Battle: Spider-Man vs. Sandman, a small box of 201 pieces currently available for pre-order on the official online store at a public price of €24,99 and which will be available from January 1, 2026.

This is indicated on the small pad-printed plaque placed at the front of the base of the construction, this derivative product being part of the new "Epic Moment Collection" refers to the 2007 film Spider-Man 3 starring Tobey Maguire. With an inventory of 201 pieces, you obviously shouldn't expect something imposing, and the whole thing only gains volume and height through the use of very large elements.

The presentation is therefore far from epic, even if it remains relatively convincing for a product with such a limited inventory, and it's primarily the Sandman expansion that's highlighted. Nothing complicated, it's a pile of pieces that vaguely attempts to resemble a sandpile.

It's a bit messy, and the two large, crudely made hands attached to the minifigure only add to the visual confusion. As a result, the character's head is far too small to properly reflect the scene.

We'll make do with it to portray Sandman, even though I'm not entirely convinced by the solution used here for the character's minifigure. The whole thing is assembled very quickly, there are no stickers to stick on and the thing will end its career on the corner of a shelf without taking up too much space, for example in the middle of comics or Blu-rays.

As for the three minifigures included in this box, we get a version of Spider-Man already seen identically in the 2023 set 76261 Spider-Man Final BattleAn exclusive Sandman figure with a simple print that struggles to stand out without all the props designed to display it, but with a rather well-done head, and another exclusive Venom minifigure with a torso and head print consistent with the 2007 film, which could have done without the tentacles. Harry Osborn is obviously missing from this set.

In short, for €25, we're not going to be too picky, this derivative product, with a look far from being as epic as the title of the set suggests, being the first based on the Spider-Man 3 movie and allowing you to obtain two totally new figurines.
