Today we take a quick look at the contents of the LEGO Star Wars set 75325 The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter, a box of 412 pieces currently in pre-order on the official online store and which will be available from June 1, 2022 at the retail price of €59.99. Almost everything has already been said since the announcement of this product derived from the series The Book of Boba Fett broadcast on the Disney + platform, everyone has therefore had plenty of time to judge the interest of the means of transport which has replaced the Razor Crest since the explosion of the latter.

This derivative product is a children's toy, so you shouldn't expect an ultra-detailed or chrome-plated version of the old N-1 fighter tinkered with by Peli Motto in his Mos Eisley hangar. It is very quickly assembled, the whole is not too fragile and there is something to have fun with the Spring shooter concealed under the nose of the aircraft.

Those who haven't taken the time to carefully read the official product description will no doubt have missed out on the section detailing the build dimensions: upon arrival, the fighter measures 42cm long and 29cm tall. wide, so you will have to make room on your shelves to display the thing.

We will remember the beautiful design effort on the two engines of the hunter with a relatively detailed finish for a product in this price bracket, an acceptable finish without being perfect which contrasts with the more bland and summary or even coarse side of the rest of the cabin. The reactors are on arrival not really faithful to those seen on the screen but the intention is there and that's already it. We can install Din Djarin at the controls and slide Grogu into the astromech droid slot placed just behind the cockpit, that's already it. The Mandalorian cannot keep his jetpack on his back and pilot his machine, it will be necessary to remove the accessory and store it in the hold placed just in front of the pilot before installing the figurine.

The product does not escape the stickers but their number remains relatively reasonable with only three stickers. One could reproach me for marveling at not much, but three stickers for a product of 412 pieces and of this size, it is in my opinion rather good news.

I pointed out to you a few days ago that the windshield of the DeLorean of the set 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine and canopy from the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set 75341 Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder were both protected by a piece of plastic, this is not the case here for the two canopies provided. LEGO will no doubt have judged that these are too small to deserve this consideration or the manufacturer may imagine that they will end up damaged anyway by the children who will inherit this box.

As for the minifigs provided, the casting is perfectly in line with the theme: we get Din Djarin, Grogu, Peli Motto and a comic book droid. the presence of Peli Motto with his adjustable wrench and one of his assistants reinforces the impression that perhaps a trolley with tools, a piece of wall or a pile of mechanical parts is missing to really put it all in context. As it is, Din Djarin can take a ship ride in space but there isn't really much fun on the ground.

The Mandalorian minifig is nothing new apart from the face which finally replaces here the usual black and neutral head which equips the different versions of the character already marketed. The helmet, torso and legs are elements available in several sets since 2021 and it is therefore necessary to be satisfied with the unique stylized face of Pedro Pascal to really consider this minifigure as “unpublished”. Difficult to really see the face of the actor but the pad printing is successful. Still no Darksaber with a specific mold, it's a bit of a shame.

The figurine of Peli Motto seems rather convincing to me, the torso conforms to the outfit seen on the screen, the face manages to make us vaguely recognize the features of Amy Sedaris and the hair used seems appropriate to me. Grogu is equal to himself with his slightly sloppy Kinder toy look, head and hands are still not the same green. Finally, the BD droid provided is too anecdotal to convince me. The part is well designed for a robot of this scale but I would have preferred a gray color and the whole thing is sorely lacking in pad printing. This will probably be the second element of the set definitely lost by the youngest, just after the flexible extension at the tail of the vessel.

We will make with this modest interpretation of the N-1 hunter modified while waiting for better, a version Ultimate Collector Series with many chrome elements may one day enter the LEGO catalog. It is not forbidden to dream.

Note: The set presented here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at 11th May 2022 next at 23:59 p.m. Just post a comment under the article to participate.
