Today we take a quick tour of the content of the LEGO Star Wars set 75412 Death Trooper & Night Trooper Battle Pack, a small box of 119 pieces which will be available on the official online store from June 1, 2025 at the public price of €19,99.

I won't explain the principle of the Battle Pack at LEGO, just know that it's a pretext to sell us lots of figurines potentially intended to be bought in number to build an army by integrating them into a product whose main construction is generally of no interest and is only there to justify the name "construction toy" of the product.

This is once again the case here with a dropship of an almost touching nullity. I don't see how to show indulgence for such a minimalist and uninspired troop transport. We can certainly install the four minifigs provided in this box but it is the only valid argument of the thing which would almost make the equivalent machine of the LEGO Star Wars set pass 40755 Imperial Dropship vs. Rebel Scout Speeder for a UCS version.

Children might have a little fun with the machine which is equipped with two Stud shooters, but we cannot say that this dropship offers a lot of functionality apart from its removable canopy and its few clips available to hang the blasters of the different soldiers.

As for the four minifigs included, we might have expected a handful of completely new pieces exclusive to this box sold for €20. This will not be the case: the torso, legs and helmet of one of the two Night Troopers have already been included in the LEGO Star Wars set since last year. 75385 Ahsoka Tano's Duel on Peridea (54,99 €).

So, all that remains are the two Death Troopers and the torso of one of the two Night Troopers that are unreleased, which is meager. Even the zombified head, which comes in four copies here, comes from the set. 75385 Ahsoka Tano's Duel on Peridea. LEGO could have made the effort to provide us with different versions to put under the helmets, too bad for us.

We can console ourselves with the pretty pad prints of the two completely identical Death Troopers, LEGO not having deemed it necessary to offer us two torsos and two helmets with different damages as well as with the gray version of the Night Trooper helmet.

In short, this Battle Pack is definitely way too expensive for what it has to offer and you'll have to wait until you can find it cheaper elsewhere than at LEGO to be able to hope to build up a few squads at a lower cost. You'll also have to deal with the impression of accumulating the same figurines several times when these zombified soldiers should in principle have unique details in terms of the damage to their armor. The Death Troopers will therefore all be identical and you could possibly mix the elements of the Night Troopers together to obtain torso/helmet variants.

Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at May 17, 2025 at 23:59 pm. Just post a comment under the article to participate. Your participation is taken into account regardless of your opinion. Avoid "I'm participating" or "I'm trying my luck", we suspect that this is the case.
