LEGO Super Mario World Mario and Yoshi - Nintendo Collector's Set - Creative Leisure for Adults Passionate about Video Games - Original Gift for Men and Women
Today we take a quick tour of the content of the LEGO Star Wars set 75413 Republic Juggernaut, a box of 813 pieces currently available for pre-order at the public price of €149,99 on the official online store and which will be available from August 1, 2025.
Without falling into the "it was better before" argument, it is clear that this Clone Turbo Tank in version 2025 has shrunk in the wash if we look back at the versions of the sets 7261 Clone Turbo Tank (2005) et 8098 Clone Turbo Tank (2010) which both exceeded 40 cm in length.
The version of the set 75151 Clone Turbo Tank (2016) was however 31 cm long just like this new interpretation of the vehicle. Many people see this new version as the most compact ever marketed, it is true with 31 x 13 x 16 cm in 2025 against 31 x 14 x 17 cm in 2015, but not in the proportions that we are indignantly sold here and there.
That being said, we are somewhat entitled to wonder where the €150 demanded by LEGO to buy this Turbo Tank are and it is the content/price ratio which is a little disappointing here. The machine is correctly executed with a relatively satisfactory level of detail at this scale despite its false airs of Super Microfighter, but the toy lacks a bit of scope for a product positioned in such a high price range. It is also worth noting that we get the vehicle here alone, without a BARC Speeder or additional turret or even a bush or a tree.
On the assembly side, nothing surprising or new with the usual internal structure, the clip-on bodywork elements and the wheels which are here embodied by stacks of plates to maintain a diameter matching the chosen scale.
No real suspension, some slightly haphazard adjustments to the various exterior panels and a somewhat fragile internal structure: this 2025 Turbo Tank doesn't solve any of the problems encountered by its predecessors.
LEGO hasn't made any plans this year to make the machine easier to transport, with no integrated retractable handle, and you'll have to be careful when handling the object, whose internal structure is very fragile. Nothing prohibitive, but we could legitimately be a little more demanding from a manufacturer who has had plenty of time to explore the subject and learn from previous versions.
There are obviously a handful of stickers to stick on to improve the finish of the thing, there is enough space inside the machine to store the figurines provided and playability is ensured by the presence of three Stud Shooters including two very conveniently placed on the sides of the fuselage. Access to the vehicle's internal spaces is well designed with enough openings to slip your hand in without breaking everything. The interior layout remains spartan but sufficient with a few seats that can accommodate the supplied figurines provided that some of them are first removed from their back attributes.
As for the handful of figurines delivered in this box, we will forget the dispensable but always welcome Battle Droids that we all already have in multiple copies in our drawers and we will be satisfied with the presence of a new version of the Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi, Commander Bacara with his superb new helmet and his very successful pad printing and three copies of the Galactic Marine, an elite soldier of the 21st Nova Corps commanded by the two officers present in this box. The figurine is also very successful, the absence of a fabric kama does not bother me and the pad printing is very well executed.
The presence of a few new minifigs is obviously not enough to justify the price of the product, but there is no point in shouting about a high retail price when we all know that this set will end up being available elsewhere for much less than at LEGO. We can also see this as an increasingly marked strategy on the part of LEGO aimed at favoring sales from its resellers rather than those from its official store: displaying an artificially inflated retail price only reinforces the impression of getting a good deal elsewhere.
In short, it's expensive, it's well made despite some aesthetic approximations, we get some nicely executed characters and there's plenty of fun here for the youngest. This is enough to make this toy a potential future bestseller provided you can find it at a discounted price elsewhere than at LEGO. The reduction in size compared to the 2015 version remains factually anecdotal, it obsesses many fans because it is often presented as excessive even if it is not actually as dramatic as what some want to imply.
This toy for young fans may therefore not be to the taste of adult customers who are missing Turbo Tank in a version Ultimate Collector Series, but in my opinion it remains largely at the level of what we could expect on this subject in 2025.
Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at August 8, 2025 at 23:59 pm. Just post a comment under the article to participate. Your participation is taken into account regardless of your opinion. Avoid "I'm participating" or "I'm trying my luck", we suspect that this is the case.
