75418 lego star wars advent calendar 2025 review 10

Today we take a quick tour of the content of the LEGO Star Wars set 75418 Advent Calendar 2025, a box of 263 pieces available since September 1, 2025 on the official store at the public price of €34,99 and elsewhere for much less.

This 2025 version of the traditional LEGO Star Wars Advent calendar takes a different approach from previous years: out with the various micro spaceships, in with droids of all kinds. This version includes 14 droids and 8 micro-things, plus a Jawa and Babu Frik to complete the set.

This original approach will probably not be unanimously accepted by fans used to discovering a new machine or spaceship behind each of the boxes, but you can't fault LEGO for trying to make this year's calendar a product whose contents will be easily reusable after unboxing.

This droid theme also allows LEGO to avoid providing us with too many "real" minifigures. What we can consider classic minifigures if we include microfigures and the inevitable Battle Droids: C-3PO, R7-A7, BB-8, a Battle Droid, a Super Battle Droid, a Jawa, BD-72, and Babu Frik.

The remaining eight droid models are assembled using a few parts, and not all of them are of the highest quality. The lineup includes a Pit Droid, a Gonk Droid, a Buzz Droid, a Medical Droid, a B2EMO (Bee-two), a WED Treadwell Repair Droid, a Mouse Droid, and a Probe Droid.

I won't dwell on the micro-builds that vaguely represent Babu Frik's workshop with several modules that connect together. The idea isn't actually that bad, but it still feels a bit like filling space for miles, which risks causing some disappointment on certain days during the daily opening phase of the product.

As for the festive versions presented here, featuring C-3PO, who is in a version The Rise of Skywalker With his red eyes, we'll settle for BB-8 as a snowman, the Jawa with his ugly sweater, the Mouse Droid in candy cane version and the Medical Droid vaguely disguised as a fir tree.

It's also worth noting that LEGO provides a kit to transform the basic Battle Droid into a festive version by replacing its torso with a white element, its legs with a gold piece, and its arms with red and black elements. It's an original idea that doesn't cost LEGO much but will delight younger children.

In short, this calendar is quite good in my opinion, provided you pay significantly less than its retail price. As every year, these calendars quickly become available at bargain prices elsewhere than at LEGO, and Amazon is currently selling this one for under €24, making it much more appealing.

This 2025 version offers something to have a little fun with and, above all, allows you to reuse most of the droids provided in other dioramas later on; this is almost an achievement for this product, the contents of which usually end up at the bottom of a drawer or in the toy box of the youngest children.
