75437 lego starwars cobb vanths speeder review 1

Today we take a quick tour of the content of the LEGO Star Wars set 75437 Cobb Vanth's Speeder, a small box of 207 pieces currently available for pre-order on the official online store at a public price of €29,99 and which will be available from January 1, 2026.

LEGO presents us with a somewhat anachronistic encounter between Marshal Cobb Vanth and Cad Bane, the set being directly inspired by The Mandalarian series. Cobb Vanth is indeed equipped with Boba Fett's armor, but he doesn't wear it during his duel with Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett series.

The Speeder, about 20 centimeters long, is, as is often the case with LEGO, oversized compared to the minifigures; it's the price to pay for something a bit more detailed. This one is also a little too festive to truly resemble the vehicle piloted by Cobb Vanth. The vibrant colors used by LEGO will undoubtedly appeal to younger children; this toy is aimed at them, even if I would have used... Dark Red instead of the slightly too flashy red.

The vehicle also lacks "damage" and, in the absence of pad printing, one or two stickers to place on the front extensions would have helped to give it a more coherent finish.

The scale used here allows for some fanciful design choices for the speeder; it includes the main attributes of the vehicle seen on screen and even has storage space for the Mos Pelgo Marshal's helmet, a Meiloorun, and a Bantha milk carton with unique tampo printing.

The central section of the vehicle, based on a Podracer engine, is correct, but the side part lacks, in my opinion, a bit of finesse, with an offset cockpit that is too massive on the LEGO version and a seat whose backrest serves no purpose.

The two figures included in this set are completely new, making this box, which is otherwise overpriced for what it offers, highly desirable to collectors. Cobb Vanth features an even more battered version of his armor, with numerous marks on the breastplate and helmet. His legs are true to those seen on screen, with a single kneepad, and the head, with its two faces, is, in my opinion, well done. LEGFO also provides a suitable hairstyle so the figure can be displayed without his helmet.

Cad Bane is also detailed enough to be convincing, with the exception of the generic hat, whose brim isn't flat enough. The accessory also lacks printing to represent the electronics present. LEGO could also have made more of an effort with the character's blasters; the generic version used here is a bit too crude to represent the revolvers seen on screen. The visual continuity between the torso and the two printed areas representing the character's coat is almost perfect; the slight difference in color is barely noticeable.

We're not going to complain about getting two completely new minifigures in a small box, but asking €30 for this product seems a bit presumptuous. This little set will obviously be available for a bit less elsewhere than at LEGO from the beginning of 2026, which will then be an opportunity to get these two characters in more polished and relatively well-developed versions.

Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at 29th December 2025 at 23:59 PM. Simply post a comment under the article to participate. Shipping to the winner will only begin on January 1, 2026.
