Today we quickly go around another new polybag available since the beginning of the year: the reference 30455 Batmobile, with a vehicle inspired by the muscle car modified piloted by Batman in the film which will be released in theaters on March 2. The 68-piece bag also serves as a loss leader for the set 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase (29.99 €) also available since the beginning of 2022 with a slightly larger Batmobile in the box.
We are not going to make tons of it, this micro-Batmobile is struggling a little to convince. The lines are there, but the set remains very coarse and will only bring back a few memories to all those who, like me, had Majorette or Hot Wheels toys during their childhood. If we accept that this was the goal sought by LEGO, then this bag does the job rather well.
As with other polybags, the absence of a minifig to accompany the machine to be built significantly reduces the interest of the thing. A Batman figurine would have been welcome in this one, just to give a little punch to this product which is not in principle intended to be offered at LEGO and which is only available for sale at a few retailers.
In short, the packaging is attractive, the content is a little less so and there is nothing to get up at night. The most complete collectors of the LEGO DC Comics range will not be able to ignore this new reference, the others can save their pocket money to afford the more elaborate version of the vehicle available in the set. 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase.
If you want to assemble this Batmobile without going to checkout and using the parts from your bulk, know that the instructions are available for download at LEGO at this address (PDF, 1.06 MB).
This polybag is currently available for sale at JB Spielwaren (€ 3.99), at Brickshop when there is stock (3.99 €) and more expensive but in volume on Bricklink (from 4.99 €). I haven't seen it on the shelves of a French brand yet, it's up to you to tell me if you've come across it in your favorite toy store.
Note: The polybag presented here is as usual put into play. Deadline fixed at 16th February 2022 next at 23pm.
Update : The winner was drawn and notified by email, his nickname is indicated below.
