Today we take a quick look at the contents of the LEGO set 5008897 Tic Tac Toe, an Insiders reward that will be available from November 29, 2024 on the rewards center in exchange for 2400 points, or approximately €16 in exchange value.
Let's not lie to ourselves, for €16, we mainly buy the ten minifigs provided and the proposed tic-tac-toe "game" is only a pretext to accumulate a few Classic Space astronauts in two colors. The game board based on a 16x16 base plate in Dark Tan is quickly assembled, it is functional with its visible studs which allow you to place the figurines and you can optionally replace the 10 minifigs provided with those you want. The board is decorated with a micro-vehicle which wanders between the craters, it's cute.
For those who are wondering, the orange torso is indeed the one already seen in the set. 40687 Alien Space Diner offered from 100 € of purchase in May 2024 on the official online store as well as in the book entitled LEGO Minifigure: A Visual History New Edition.
The white torso is the one already seen in The LEGO Movie 2 sets 70841 Benny's Space Squad and LEGO ICONS 10497 Galaxy Explorer. All the figurines have the same head, a very common element, particularly in the CITY or Speed Champions ranges.
No air tanks in this box, let's not exaggerate either, but you can buy them separately on the Pick a Brick service: the white version is referenced at €0,16 (6268849) and the orange version is at €0,22 (6295186).
This Insiders award is probably not the product of the year, but the presence of a dozen astronauts will obviously allow it to find its audience very quickly. LEGO could have only put five and replaced the others with aliens so that the game makes sense but this is not the case, we are in pure fan service.
The product is as usual delivered in the small, soft, fragile yellow box usually used for this type of reward, the coins are delivered in a resealable bag.
The unique code obtained when exchanging points will be valid for 60 days from its issue date. It must be used for a future order and entered in the field provided for this purpose.
Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at December 10, 2024 next at 23:59 p.m. Simply post a comment below the article to participate. Your participation is taken into account regardless of your opinion. Avoid “I’m participating” or “I’m trying my luck”, we suspect that this is the case.
