LEGO Speed Champions The Time Machine from Back to the Future - Toy Car - Model Kit with Doc Brown & Marty McFly Minifigures -
Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO Star Wars set 75441 Venator-Class Attack Cruiser, a box of 643 pieces currently available for pre-order on the official online store at a public price of €79,99 and which will be available from January 1, 2026.
I don't need to spell it out for you, this set joins the collection of models in the format Midi Scale LEGO has been developing this line for several waves now, with products of varying success depending on the subject matter. I think this Venator model can be classified as one of the most accomplished in the range; in my opinion, it would be difficult to do much better at this scale.
The ship is faithful to the version seen on screen, both in its overall appearance and in the representation of many characteristic details. In any case, it's the best option collectors will have if they don't want to bother with the version Ultimate Collector Series of the set 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser marketed in 2023 or the playset version for spoiled children of the set 8039 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser marketed in 2009.
Almost everything is there, with the usual hidden references tucked away in the construction to satisfy even the most demanding fans: a Clone Trooper and an officer, each represented by two pieces, are installed right from the start, and later the two Jedi Interceptors of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are added, symbolized by pieces of the correct color. It's still minimalist, but these little nods are welcome.
The assembly process is entertaining despite a few predictably repetitive steps with the wings; there are no stickers in sight, and the printing on the few patterned pieces is very clean. It's also clear that LEGO is working on its ability to print white accurately on a black background; the small display plaque is indeed a bit more contrasted than usual.
I'm not going to list the technical solutions used here to obtain this ship while respecting the various and varied angles essential to obtaining a credible model, the photos speak for themselves.
Those who appreciate attention to detail should find plenty to enjoy in this version based on the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Faithfulness is key, with few aesthetic shortcuts, and only the barrels used once again for the engines slightly annoy me.
All good jokes must come to an end, and these anachronistic barrels, in my opinion, have no place here. They're out of place; no one is amazed anymore by the use of this element on reactors, and it's high time LEGO offered us something more appropriate to represent this attribute, which is logically very present in the Star Wars universe. Again, this is just my personal opinion.
Special mention goes to the two inserts that slide between the wings and ensure a flawless finish; they make good use of blasters and sabers that know how to be discreet once these assemblies are in place.
The included black stand is well-made; it even features two pins that ensure maximum stability for the model but prevent it from being rotated without adjusting the stand. As usual, it has two slots with studs covered by grids, allowing you to display your favorite minifigures if you wish to showcase this spaceship alongside other figures.
I've noticed a few weak points on the ship's wings with a Clutch Power (The interlocking ability) isn't always very convincing on some pieces, but this is a display model not intended for handling by young children. More problematic is the color variation between some pieces, which is present here, as on the vehicle in the set. 75440AT-ATThis is very noticeable in places. For example, it's the case on the parts with clips that hold the turbolasers on the hull surface. It's not really an aesthetic issue for a ship whose surface is covered in studs and patterns, but this flaw shouldn't be present on a product of this type.
Otherwise, in my opinion, it's flawless aesthetically, and only the retail price might give some fans pause. LEGO is selling this model for €80, so as usual, you'll have to wait to find it cheaper elsewhere than on the official online store to combine it with the LEGO Star Wars set's ship. 75377 Invisible Hand (557 pieces - €52.99) on our shelves.
The set is already, by the way. available for pre-order at Auchan at a price of €64,99 as well as at LTOYS priced at € 67,99.
